Dolphins Depth Chart

The Dolphins finished last season with a poor 7-9 record, and that’s why they decided to reboot and start from scratch.

This includes the departure of head coach Adam Gase and starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

The Fins hired Brian Flores, and that’s a very good first step, as this is a head coach that fits their re-organization plans perfectly.

So, this year they will probably be focusing on checking out whom they want to keep, and also on developing their young talent.

Suddenly, the quarterback landscape looks completely different in Miami!

They released Tannehill, and hired veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick during the offseason, plus, they got Josh Rose in a trade with the Cardinals.

As of now, it’s really not clear who’s going to be the starter for the team, but analysts are favoring Rosen.

With that said, it’s likely that neither quarterback will have much success as the offensive surrounding them is not proficient.

The Fins are part of a division where they’ve never been the top franchise for the past two decades.

This season they’re opening as underdogs once again, and they hope their trust in their young talent will pay back in the long run.

Dolphins Preseason

Indeed, there’s a battle in Miami for who’s going to be playing at the starting quarterback position!

Fitzpatrick was the starter at their 34-27 victory over the Falcons and did a good job.

Rosen, who’s a second-year player, also had action versus Atlanta, and although he showed some brilliance, his performance was also frustrating at times.

Jaguars Depth Chart

The Jags had a very good 2017 season, even going to the AFC Championship match!

Such good results led the team to keep the same roster for the following season, but things didn’t go as planned for the team in 2018.

They started the year with Blake Bortles, but his poor performances led the team to give the starting position to Cody Kessler.

Now, the team has an elite defense, which ranked 4th overall last year, but their offense was awful, ranking 31st in the league last season.

And the reason is that their quarterback performed terribly. But Bortles is gone, and their new starter is likely to be Nick Foles.

Plus, Leonard Fournette is healthy and ready to turn into Foles’ main receiving weapon.

With that said, a good defensive does win titles, but if they want to get good results this year, they will need to focus on making their offensive stronger.

Jaguars Preseason

The Jags began their preseason terribly, losing to the Ravens 29-0.

And this performance just shows how much the team continues to lack offensively.

With that said, one of the main reasons for their poor offensive was the absence of Foles, Fournette and defensive back Jalen Ramsey.

And chances are that the team will continue to try their back up players during the preseason.

So, we will not really know how well this franchise is going to perform until the actual regular season begins.

Game Prediction

It’s clear that the Jaguars are facing offensive problems, especially without their starting players.

Miami, on the other hand, is taking advantage of these preseason matches to check whom they want to keep as their starting quarterback.

And, if things continue this way, chances are that we’ll witness another terrible performance by Jacksonville against a very hopeful Miami team.
