Jets vs. Ravens Thursday Night Football Odds & Pick

New York Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens Odds and Free Game Pick

  • The Ravens (11-2) clinched a playoff berth with a 24-17 victory over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. A win on Thursday Night Football would get the Ravens the division title and inch them closer to the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoff bracket.
  • The surging Jets (5-8) would love to rain on the Ravens’ parade and seek their fifth win in their past six games.

New York Jets vs. Baltimore Ravens

The question isn’t whether the Ravens win, it’s whether Baltimore covers the 16-point spread. Lamar Jackson's Ravens are just 2-4 against the spread at home this season, so keep reading to get the free pick on this game.

Betting on the Jets?

There’s good news if you’re betting the Jets against the spread. Though New York started the season to a rocky 1-7, they’ve gone 4-1 over their last five games.

Sam Darnold’s return has a lot to do with how the Jets are performing as of late, but don’t get your hopes up on how New York will fare against the red-hot Ravens at this point in the season.

The Jets have only played against three teams with a winning record this season, and Baltimore’s offense might overwhelm the defense, turning this game into a bloodbath.

Injuries have also decimated the Jets with at least seven players questionable heading into this game. The most notable injuries are running back Le’ Veon Bell’s and that of Jamal Adams.’

Betting on the Ravens?

Lamar Jackson is still questionable to play in this game, but it looks like tight end Mark Andrews might be good to go after suffering a knee injury in the Ravens’ game against the Bills last week.

Andrews is a big part of the Ravens’ offensive production and accounts for more than 20% of receptions and receiving yards as one of Jackson’s primary targets.

Jackson is the Ravens’ motor, though, and this game’s outcome will depend on whether he plays. In the Ravens’ win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, Jackson became just the second quarterback ever to rush for 1,000 yards; with three games left to play, he is 22 yards away from Michael Vick’s record.

With a win tonight, the Ravens will have won the AFC North thrice this decade. Baltimore holds a three-game lead over the Steelers, so winning the North title is practically a given.

Betting Trends

  • NY Jets are 5-10 ATS in their last 15 games.
  • NY Jets are 4-1 SU in their last five games.
  • NY Jets are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games against Baltimore.
  • Baltimore is 6-1 ATS in their last seven games.
  • Baltimore is 9-0 SU in their last nine games.
  • Baltimore is 5-1 SU in their last six games at home.

Insider Prediction: Here’s the thing, a buck gets ten the Ravens want to keep Jackson healthy for the playoffs so they’ll probably play him conservatively. Baltimore wins, but with such a big spread, won’t cover. My bet is on the Jets.

Pick: Jets +16.5
