NFL Week 10 Lock Picks

NFL Week 10 Lock Picks

We have hit Week 10 in the NFL and if you need to give your sports betting bankroll a boost, then I am here to help. This week I have selected a pair of games that I am betting on and believe are lock picks.

NFL Week 10 Lock Picks

Minnesota Vikings at Washington Redskins

  • When: Sunday, November 13, 2016
  • Start Time: 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Hyattsville, MD
  • Stadium: FedExField
  • Spread: Redskins -3
  • Moneyline: Washington -128 vs Minnesota +109 (opening)
  • Game Total: 41.5
  • Watch:FOX

Analysis: The Vikings were riding high on the hog after getting off to a 5-0 start, but after three straight losses they’re getting hot under their collars. The losses had to sting but they also show Sam Bradford’s inconsistency, a ground game that leaves much to be desired and at least one difficulty on defense that at this point in the season can make or break a team’s season.

Against the Redskins, the Vikings’ offense may fare better. Washington’s pass defense is average and its rushing defense is ranked 26th in the league but the way Minnesota is playing I believe they can still contain the Vike’s attack especially considering they’re well-rested after coming off a bye.

Pick: Washington wins and covers at -3

Los Angeles Rams at New York Jets

  • When: Sunday, November 13, 2016
  • Start Time: 1:00 PM ET
  • Where: Hyattsville, MD
  • Stadium: MetLife Stadium
  • Spread: Jets -2
  • Moneyline: New York -147 vs Los Angeles +133 (opening)
  • Game Total: 39.5
  • Watch: FOX

Analysis: I don’t like the Jets’ chances of winning this game for one reason, Ryan Fitzpatrick. In last week’s game against Miami, Fitzpatrick was once again unable to lead the offense effectively. He finished with only 193 yards and got picked off twice and this just adds to a horrible season so far. Now, if New York goes with backup quarterback Bryce Petty in this game, that could make a world of difference. Not that Petty is all that impressive, but he could at least not be as bad as Fitzpatrick.

Regardless, the Jets could also turn to the ground game and might fare better even if Fitzpatrick does play. The Rams’ rushing defense isn’t that strong and running back Matt Forte could end up having a great game. Forte has rushed for 542 yards and scored six touchdowns this season.

Pick: Jets -3
