NHL Betting: Chicago Blackhawks vs Boston Bruins

There are plenty of folks that have their eye on this game, because the Blackhawks are favored to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup this year. However, for the Bruins it’ll be a big test to find out if they have what it takes to win at home (being that they’re the worst ranked home team in the Eastern Conference).

Bet on the Blackhawks

Chicago is looking to defeat the Bruins on their home ice for the second time this season. The Blackhawks is a favorite to win its fourth Cup in seven years and recently beat the Capitals 3-2 on Sunday.

They followed that with a 5-2 victory at Detroit on Wednesday to stake their lead of the West.

Once again, Patrick Kane took the reins with a goal against Washington, then following up with assists on both of Artemi Panarin's goals against the Red Wings. Kane leads the league with 32 power-play points, tying his career high of 88 goals that he had set back in the 2009-10 season.

Chicago also is up against a tough road ahead with games against Detroit, which they face again on Sunday, followed by St. Louis, Dallas, Los Angeles and Philadelphia.

Bet on the Bruins

The Bruins are four points behind the Atlantic Division leaders, Florida and look to increase their hot streak of 7 wins of their last 11 games.

However, opening the playoffs at home could hinder Boston as they haven’t had much success on their home ice, going 14-16-3 in Boston. They also opened this four-game stretch with a 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay on Sunday.

Boston will also be a man short for the next four games following a five-game suspension to forward Zac Rinaldo issued after an illegal hit on Lightning forward Cedric Paquette.

Following this game against Chicago, the NHL leading Washington visits on Saturday to complete the home stretch. Boston then goes on a 10 of 13 stretch of games on the road with a back-to-back series against Florida and Tampa Bay.
