2019 UEFA Europa League Final

In a battle of English Premier League teams, Chelsea are favorites to lift the cup and defeat rivals Arsenal. Both clubs are disputing their second Europa League final with Chelsea winning in 2013 and Arsenal finishing as runners-up in 2000. Let’s take a look at the betting analysis and odds for this year’s final.

UEFA Europa League Final 2019 Betting Preview: Chelsea vs. Arsenal

  • Odds: Chelsea +135 vs. Arsenal +221; Draw +240

London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal are looking to lift the trophy at Baku, Azerbaijan. But with three victories in four tries with Sevilla, it's clear that Arsenal Head Coach Unai Emery has the advantage in the Europa League. However, oddsmakers are putting the Gunners as underdogs.

Part of the reason why Arsenal is not favored, is that they were not solid during the knockout stages, leaking six goals in four games. But the Gunners have scored twice versus the Blues in each of their last three matches.

Chelsea has already secured a Champions League spot, but Arsenal needs to win this match if they want to play that tournament next season and that means they’ll have an extra source of motivation to win.

Betting The Game

According to some expert analysts, Chelsea may have more ball possession, and that means that Arsenal will be looking to strike fast.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang & Alexandre Lacazette were decisive versus Valencia and Napoli, so Arsenal is putting their hopes on these two strikers to find the back of the net.

On the other hand, we have Olivier Giroud, will be looking to score versus his old teammates. Plus, superstar Eden Hazard, who is likely heading to Real Madrid, may want to switch teams with a Europe League title under his belt.

Unai Emery vs. Maurizio Sarri

Chelsea’s lineup is a bit stronger than those of the Gunners, and it may factor in to tilt the balance on the Blues’ side for this match.

But Emery is far less predictable, and some believe the Spaniard may be able to carry out his plans better than the Italian.

Final Prediction

Many expect this to be a very even match, with a possible 2-2 final score at the end of 90-minute regulation time. But this is probably the most important game for the Gunners in years, and that means that losing is not an option for Arsenal.

So, even though Arsenal are the current underdogs, they have what it takes to get the glory this time around. With that said, this is the last game for Hazard with the Blues and he’ll likely score at least one goal.

 Pick: Chelsea +135
