The Cleveland Cavaliers are a professional NBA basketball team based in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland competes in the NBA as member of the Eastern Conference, Central Division. The Cavaliers were established as an expansion team, together with the Buffalo Braves (now Los Angeles Clippers) and the Portland Trail Blazers, in 1970.
They host their home games at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse since 1994. This multi-purpose venue arena is located in Downtown Cleveland and is part of the Gateway Sports complex together with Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Guardians of the MLB.
As expected for any new expansion team, the Cavs struggled in their early years until they won their first division title in 1976, advancing to their first conference finals. The 80s started under the ownership of Ted Stepien, the team went through a rough period, with six coaching changes and earning the negative record of a 24-game losing streak. Financial problems and low attendance caused the franchise to be sold to George and Gordon Gund in 1983. They made the Cavs a regular playoff contender for the rest of the 80s and much of the 90s, led by players like point guard Mark Price and center Brad Daugherty, making it to the Eastern Conference Finals in 1992. This regular succession of playoff appearances ended in 1998, posting six consecutive losing seasons. During this drought, they got the first draft pick for 2003, selecting future superstar Lebron James and signing Zydrunas Ilgauskas, returning them immediately to contender status. Under their guidance, they made it to the finals in 2007, for the first time in franchise history, losing to the San Antonio Spurs.
Lebron left for the Miami Heat, resulting in the Cavs ending dead last in 2011, beating their record with 26 consecutive losses. The top picks earned in those years enabled them to draft Kyrie Irving, who became Rookie of the Year. Lebron returned to the Cavs in 2014 after four seasons in Miami and back-to-back championships with the Heat. With his leadership and a squad that included Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Dahntay Jones, and J.R. Smith, the Cavaliers reached four consecutive NBA Finals, Winning the 2006 championship against the Warriors, their first title in franchise history, and the first major trophy for the city since 1964.
Aside from that Championship, the Cavaliers have won seven division titles (in 1976, 2009, 2010, and 2015-2018) and conference titles five times (in 2007 and 2015-2018).

Cleveland Cavaliers Spreads
Point Spreads are a margin-of-victory bet that indicates an estimated game result. This is an example of a Cleveland Cavaliers Point Spreads line:
Team Points Spread Odds
Cleveland Cavaliers -3
Atlanta Hawks +3
In this case, the line indicates that the Cleveland Cavaliers are the favorite to win by a margin of more than three points against the Atlanta Hawks. Conversely, the Hawks are the underdog and can lose by less than a three-point margin.
A small spread of 4 or fewer points means that the game is expected to be a close matchup, while a large spread of 5 or more points means that the favorite is expected to perform much better than the underdog.
People betting on the Cavaliers point spreads expect them to win by a margin over than -3 point spread, while people betting on the underdog are expecting the Atlanta Hawks lose by less than 3 points to cover the spread.
· Cavaliers win by four or more points: Cavaliers bettors win
· Cavaliers win by precisely 3 points: The bet is a push, and all wagers are refunded
· Cavaliers win by two points or less: Hawks bettors win
· Hawks win the game: Hawks bettors win
Cleveland Cavaliers Moneylines
The Cleveland Cavaliers Moneylines bet is the most straightforward option in sports betting. You simply bet on the team that you believe will win the game. There's a negative number for the favorite, or the team considered more likely to win, and a positive number for the underdog, or the team considered more likely to lose.
This is an example of a Cleveland Cavaliers Moneyline as it would be listed in BetPhoenix:
Team Moneyline
Cleveland Cavaliers -140
Atlanta Hawks +120
Using this example, the Cleveland Cavaliers Moneyline would result as follows:
· Cavaliers Moneyline: If you wagered to win $100 by betting on the Cavaliers -140, you would need to risk $140.
· Hawks Moneyline: For every $100 wagered on the Atlanta Hawks +120, you would receive $120 if Philadelphia wins the game.
Cavaliers Moneylines and Cavaliers point spreads use the same information to estimate the relative strength of each team for this particular matchup. The greater the Moneyline numbers indicate a greater favorite or more significant underdog.
Cleveland Cavaliers Over/Under Totals
The Cavaliers Totals bet, or over/under bet, is a wager on the estimated combined score of the game, in which you bet on the total of points scored being higher or lower than the set value. You can bet the over, meaning you predict the score to be above the number, or the under, indicating that you expect the final score to be less than the estimate. The bet can also be a push if the final score equals exactly the estimate, in which case all bets are refunded. This is an example of a Cleveland Cavaliers Totals line as it would be listed in BetPhoenix:
Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Atlanta Hawks
Total: 227.5
Over odds: -110
Under odds: -110
For every $1.10 risked on either option, you'd win $1.
Cleveland Cavaliers Parlays
Cleveland Cavaliers Parlays is a type of wager where you combine different single bets into one. This is very advantageous as the odds are increased substantially since all bets included as part of the parlay must win for the whole parlay to pay out.
You can combine different types of bets, like point spreads, moneylines, over/under totals, player props, and many other wagers. You can also choose between favorites and underdogs. BetPhoenix will increase your Cleveland Cavaliers Parlays odds and payout as more individual bets are added. Cavaliers parlays allow up to 10 single bets, including cross-sport bets, allowing you, for instance, to pair an NBA game bet with an NFL bet and a Soccer bet.
For example, we can combine the Cleveland Cavaliers Point Spread of -3 and the Under of 227.5. We can add other plays for another two games to the Cavaliers parlay, like the spread on the Indiana Pacers -7.5 against the Orlando Magic and the Over 225.5 on the totals for that game, plus the spread on the Golden State Warriors -5.5 against the New Orleans Pelicans and the Under 227.5 on the totals for that game; to make a 6-team Cavaliers Parlay.
Cavaliers Spread: -3 -110
Cavaliers Totals: Under 227.5 -110
Pacers Spread: -7.5 -110
Pacers Totals: Over 225.5 -110
Warriors Spread: -5.5 -110
Warriors Totals: Under 227.5 -110
This 6-team Cavaliers Parlay would compound payout odds of +4741, well above 40x times your bet if you wagered on each line separately. For example, risking $20 would earn you a payout of $948.25, with these possible outcomes:
· Cavaliers Point Spread covers, Cavaliers over/under covers, and the other four lines in the parlay cover, so all bets cover: Win $948.25
· Cavaliers Point Spread pushes, Cavaliers over/under covers, and the other four lines in the parlay cover. The push is canceled, and it becomes a 5-team parlay: Win $487.18
· Cavaliers Point Spread covers, Cavaliers over/under doesn't cover, and the other four lines in the parlay cover. Loss: -$20
· Cavaliers Point Spread covers, Cavaliers over/under covers, and any of the other four lines in the parlay fail to cover. Loss: -$20
Any lost pick within the parlay selection constitutes a loss.

Cleveland Cavaliers Teasers
A teaser is a grouping of multiple bets combined into one single bet. The difference between teasers and parlays is that with Cavaliers teasers, the lines are moved in your favor by the number of points given by the teaser.
Cleveland Cavaliers Teasers often start at 4 points and can go up to 5 points. Available Teasers on BetPhoenix include:
4 points Teasers for 2 to 8 Teams
4.5 points Teasers for 2 to 8 Teams
5 points Teasers for 2 to 8 Teams
7 points Teaser for 3 Teams
9 points Teaser for 4 Teams
One of the most popular Teasers is the 2-team 4-point that has the same payout as a regular -110 wager.
Cavaliers Teasers are attractive for giving you a significant advantage with a much more favorable line, but that comes at a cost in terms of the payout opportunities.
Based on the previous example, we can tease the same picks of the parlay we made previously in a 6-team 4.5-point Cavaliers teaser would be as follows:
Original Lines vs. Teased lines (with 4.5 points in your favor)
Cavaliers Spread: -3 down to +1.5
Cavaliers Totals: Under 227.5 up to 232
Pacers Spread: -7.5 down to -3
Pacers Totals: Over 225.5 down to 221
Warriors Spread: -5.5 down to -1
Warriors Totals: Under 227.5 up to 232
In the hypothetical case of the Cavaliers winning the game 115-114 (-1/229), the Cavaliers odds and the Over failed to cover the original point spreads but would win on the 6-team 4.5-point Teaser, as they would cover the new +1.5 point spread and the Under 232 points.
Note that on teasers, a push is considered a loss.
For a complete view of teaser payouts, here is your payout table for BetPhoenix:

The Cleveland Cavaliers have the second-best odds to win the division, only behind the Milwaukee Bucks, but with a clear advantage over the Chicago Bulls, Indiana Pacers, and Detroit Pistons. The Cavaliers have a young and well-balanced team, poised to be the surprise of the season, but as much as saying that they can go over the Bucks is yet to be seen.
Cleveland Cavaliers Odds To Win the Eastern Conference Championship
Cleveland Cavaliers odds to win the Eastern Conference: +900
The Cavaliers sit two steps below the top favorites, with the Boston Celtics, the Milwaukee Bucks at the top, and the Brooklyn Nets and the Philadelphia 76ers as second-tier Challenges. This young, fresh, and thrilling Cavaliers squad is looking to prove that they can be a serious contender this time.
Cleveland Cavaliers Odds To NBA Championship
Cleveland Cavaliers odds to win NBA Championship: +2200
The Cleveland Cavaliers surprised everyone with the incorporation of Donovan Mitchell, the type of move that a rebuilding team makes at the end of the process, giving them the last push to become competitive after developing the young core. That certainly doesn't mean they can be better than the Bucks, Celtics, Warriors, or Clippers, for example, but if they continue to develop and stay healthy, they just might.
Cleveland Cavaliers 2021-2022 Season Recap
The 2021–22 was the Knicks' 52nd season in the NBA. They were looking to improve on a disappointing season with a 22-50 record that left them far from playoff contention for the third year.
Back on a regular season schedule of 82 games after the COVID-19 pandemic, they incorporated their third pick and Rookie of the Year candidate Evan Mobley from USC. The Cavaliers showed huge improvements, matching their previous season's 22 wins in early January, closing with a solid 44-38 at the end of the regular season, their first winning season since 2018. After finishing third in their division, and eighth seed in the conference, they lost both play-in matches against the Brooklyn Nets and the Atlanta Hawks, missing the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year.
