The Golden State Warriors are a professional NBA basketball team based in San Francisco, California. The Warriors compete as a Western Conference, Pacific Division member in the NBA. Founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as a franchise of the BAA in 1946, it joined the brand-new NBA in 1949. They relocated to San Francisco in 1962, becoming the San Francisco Warriors. Their latest renaming came after setting their new home in Oakland in 1971 as a symbol of belonging to all of California, the Golden State.

They host their home games at the Chase Center since its opening in 2019. This indoor arena is in the Mission Bay neighborhood of San Francisco, California. It is also home to the USF San Francisco Dons of the NCAA.

Just founded in Philadelphia, the Warriors won the first championship, guided by future Hall of Famer Joe Fulks. The Warriors also made it to the finals in their second season, losing to the St. Louis Bombers. They continued their playoff streak after the leagues merged, finishing fourth or better and making the playoffs from 1947 to 1952. The 1956 Warriors, guided by forward Paul Arizin and center Neil Johnston, seized their first NBA championship, posting the best record in the league.

In 1959 they drafted future Hall of Famer and former Harlem Globetrotter Wilt "The Stilt" Chamberlain, one of the greatest players in history. He famously scored 100 points against the New York Knicks in a 1962 game, in what would be the Warrior's last year in Philadelphia. The team was acquired by a group of San Francisco Bay area investors and relocated as the San Francisco Warriors.

Thanks to Chamberlain, and the drafting of Rookie of the Year Rick Barry, the Warriors made it to three NBA Finals in 1964, 1967, and 1968, losing on all three occasions. With Chamberlain leaving for the 76ers and Barry to the Oakland Oats, the team fell out of contention until former player Al Attles was brought in as head coach in 1969, leading the franchise for the next 14 seasons. After a couple of years of bad results and financial issues, they relocated to Oakland, with the Oakland Coliseum Arena's inauguration, and changed their name to Golden State Warriors.

Barry returned in 1972 to a renovated squad that included Rookie of the year Jamaal Wilkes, reaching the 1975 finals, upsetting the Washington Bullets, and making Attles the first African-American full-time coach to win the title. After recurring trips to the postseason, the Warriors level dropped quickly, finishing last of their division in most seasons between 1978 and 1986.

The late 1980s were marked by their up-tempo style, imposed by head coach Don Nelson. While the Warriors were entertaining, they didn't make it past the second round in the postseason. After Nelson's departure in 1995, Golden State entered into another period where they were regularly last or second-to-last every season until 2006, when Nelson returned for a second stint, taking them to their first playoff in 13 years. But this was an outlier campaign, and Golden State missed the playoffs for three straight seasons, forcing Nelson to resign in 2010.

Led by star guard Stephen Curry and under coach Steve Kerr, Golden State returned to the playoffs in 2012, becoming a juggernaut. In 2015, they made it to the finals after 40 years, where they beat LeBron James' Cavaliers. The following season, Golden State made history, posting an outstanding 73-9 record, beating the record of 72 wins set by the 1996 Chicago Bulls, losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers in this finals rematch. With the additions of Kevin Durant and Draymond Green, the Warriors would reach the successive three finals, beating the Cavaliers in 2017 and 2018 and losing to the Raptors in 2019.

After the departure of Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala, the Warriors had two bad seasons in 2020 and 2021. Still, they rebounded, winning the 2022 finals again with Stephen Curry accumulating MVP awards, establishing these Warriors as one of the best teams of all time.

The Golden State Warriors continue to be the juggernaut that has dominated a significant part of the decade. Their off-season changes bring more enhancements, including new young talent that can make this team even more competitive. The crucial element will be the health of veterans like Thompson and Green. Although Thompson might not be the same, he can still deliver solid returns. And with Draymond Green back in top form, he could even earn Defensive Player of the Year once more. The goal is to free up Curry and manage his workload, making them a championship contender.

Placing your Golden State Warriors bets on BetPhoenix thru the NBA basketball season can be a profitable and fun endeavor, especially if you put in some time and research.

Golden State Warriors Spreads

Point Spreads are a margin-of-victory bet that indicates an estimated game result. This is an example of a Golden State Warriors Point Spread line:

Team Points Spread Odds

Golden State Warriors -3

Minnesota Timberwolves +3

In this case, the line indicates that the Golden State Warriors are the favorite to win by a margin of more than three points against the Minnesota Timberwolves. On the other side, the Timberwolves are the underdog and can lose by less than a three-point margin.

A small spread of 4 or fewer points means that the game is expected to be a close matchup, while a large spread of 5 or more points means that the favorite is expected to perform much better than the underdog.

People betting on the Warriors point spreads expect them to win by a margin over a -3 point spread, while those betting on the underdog expect the Timberwolves to lose by less than 2 points to cover the spread.

· Warriors win by four or more points: Warriors bettors win

· Warriors win by precisely 3 points: The bet is a push, and all wagers are refunded

· Warriors win by two points or less: Timberwolves bettors win

· Timberwolves win the game: Timberwolves bettors win

Golden State Warriors Moneylines

The Golden State Warriors Moneylines bet is the most straightforward option in sports betting. You simply bet on the team that you believe will win the game. There's a negative number for the favorite, or the team considered more likely to win, and a positive number for the underdog, or the team considered more likely to lose.

This is an example of a Golden State Warriors Moneyline as it would be listed in BetPhoenix:

Team Moneyline

Golden State Warriors -140

Minnesota Timberwolves +120

Using this example, the Golden State Warriors Moneyline would result as follows:

· Warriors Moneyline: If you wagered to win $100 by betting on the Golden State Warriors -140, you would need to risk $140.

· Timberwolves Moneyline: For every $100 wagered on the Timberwolves +120, you would receive $120 if Minnesota wins the game.

Warriors Moneylines and Warriors point spreads use the same information to estimate the relative strength of each team for this particular matchup. The greater the Moneyline numbers indicate a greater favorite or more significant underdog.

Golden State Warriors Over/Under Totals

The Warriors Totals bet, or over/under bet, is a wager on the estimated combined score of the game, in which you bet on the total of points scored being higher or lower than the set value. You can bet the over, meaning you predict the score to be above the number, or the under, indicating that you expect the final score to be less than the estimate. The bet can also be a push if the final score equals exactly the estimate, in which case all bets are refunded. This is an example of a Golden State Warriors Totals line as it would be listed in BetPhoenix:

Golden State Warriors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves

Total: 237.5

Over odds: -110

Under odds: -110

For every $1.10 risked on either option, you'd win $1.

Golden State Warriors Parlays

Golden State Warriors Parlays is a type of wager where you combine different single bets into one. This is very advantageous as the odds are increased substantially since all bets included as part of the parlay must win for the whole parlay to pay out.

You can combine different types of bets, like point spreads, moneylines, over/under totals, player props, and many other wagers. You can also choose between favorites and underdogs. BetPhoenix will increase your Golden State Warriors Parlays odds and payout as more individual bets are added. Warriors parlays allow up to 10 single bets, including cross-sport bets, allowing you, for instance, to pair an NBA game bet with an NFL bet and a Soccer bet.

For example, we can combine the Golden State Warriors Point Spread of -3 and the Over of 237.5. We can add other plays to the Warriors parlay, like the Atlanta Hawks +2.5 against the Philadelphia 76ers and the Under 220.5, And the Boston Celtics -8.5 against the Charlotte Hornets, to make a 5-team Warriors Parlay.

Warriors Spread: -3 -110

Warriors Totals: Over 237.5 -110

Hawks Spread: +2.5 -110

Hawks Total: Under 220.5 -110

Celtics Spread: -8.5 -110

This 5-team Warriors Parlay would compound payout odds of +2435, well above 20x times your bet if you wagered on each line separately. For example, risking $75 would earn you a payout of $1826.93 with these possible outcomes:

· Warriors Point Spread covers, Warriors over/under covers, and the other three lines in the parlay cover, so all bets cover: Win $1826.93

· Warriors Point Spread pushes, Warriors over/under covers, and the other three lines in the parlay cover. The push is canceled, and it becomes a Warriors 5-team parlay: Win $921.25

· Warriors Point Spread covers, Warriors over/under doesn't cover, and the other four lines in the parlay cover. Loss: -$30

· Warriors Point Spread covers, Warriors over/under covers, and any of the other three lines in the parlay fail to cover. Loss: -$75

Any lost pick within the parlay selection constitutes a loss.

Golden State Warriors Teasers

A teaser is a grouping of multiple bets combined into one single bet. The difference between teasers and parlays is that with Warriors teasers, the lines are moved in your favor by the number of points given by the teaser.

Golden State Warriors Teasers often start at 4 points and can go up to 5 points. Available Teasers on BetPhoenix include:

4 points Teasers for 2 to 8 Teams

4.5 points Teasers for 2 to 8 Teams

5 points Teasers for 2 to 8 Teams

7 points Teaser for 3 Teams

9 points Teaser for 4 Teams

One of the most popular Teasers is the 2-team 4-point that has the same payout as a regular -110 wager.

Warriors Teasers are attractive for giving you a significant advantage with a much more favorable line, but that comes at a cost in terms of the payout opportunities.

Based on the previous example, we can tease the same picks of the parlay we made previously in a 5-team 4.5-point Warriors teaser would be as follows:

Original Lines vs. Teased lines (with 4.5 points in your favor)

Warriors Spread: -3 to +1.5

Warriors Totals: Over 237.5 to 233

Hawks Spread: +2.5 to +7

Hawks Total: Under 220.5 to 225

Celtics Spread: -8.5 to -4

In the hypothetical case of the Warriors losing the game 117-118 (+1/235), the Warriors odds and the Over failed to cover the original point spreads but would win on the 5-team 4.5-point Teaser, as they would cover the new +1.5 point spread, and the Over 233 points.

Note that on teasers, a push is considered a loss.

Golden State Warriors 2021-2022 Season Recap

The 2021–22 was the Golden State Warriors 76th season as a franchise in the NBA. They start the season aspiring to overcome the series of injuries and obstacles that left them out of the playoffs the past season and with a 39-33 record, which, even as an improvement from the previous year, is far from the team that made it to five straight finals.

And they did just that, with Stephen Curry becoming the franchise's all-time scoring leader, breaking Chamberlain's 57-year-old record. They finished the regular season with a 53-29 record, second in the division behind the Phoenix Suns, and earning the third seed. They went all the way, beating the Denver Nuggets in the first round, the second-seed Memphis Grizzlies in the second round, and the Dallas Mavericks in the Conference Finals, to culminate with a fought victory against the Boston Celtics to earn them their seventh championship, fourth this decade, establishing them as one of the greatest in NBA history.
