The Orlando Magic are a professional NBA basketball team based in Orlando, Florida. The Magic competes in the NBA as an Eastern Conference, Southeast Division member. They play their home games at Amway Center (formerly named Orlando Events Center), an indoor arena located in Downtown Orlando, Florida. The venue is also home to the Orlando Solar Bears of the Hockley ECHL and the Orlando Predators of the Arena Football NAL.

They joined the NBA in 1988 as an expansion team, along with the Miami Heat, the Charlotte Hornets, and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Magic have reached the NBA playoffs on 16 occasions in their 32 seasons and have made it to the NBA Finals twice, in 1995 and 2009. Orlando is the second most successful of the four expansion teams that joined the league in the 1988-1989 period, after the Miami Heat. Many notable NBA stars such as Penny Hardaway, Grant Hill, Dwight Howard, Tracy McGrady, Jameer Nelson, and Shaquille O'Neal have played for the franchise in its history.

The Magic are in what could be called a reconstruction era since 2017, when they brought Jeff Weltman, former GM for the Toronto Raptors, on board as president of basketball operations and John Hammond, former GM for the Milwaukee Bucks, as their new general manager. That summer, the team went through a lot of changes in the roster, incorporating forward Jonathan Isaac in the draft and a significant number of free agents like Arron Afflalo, Khem Birch, Shelvin Mack, Adreian Payne, Jonathon Simmons, and Marreese Speights, in a complete overhaul of the team.

In the 2018–19 season, new head coach Steve Clifford led the Magic to an unexpected division title, their sixth in franchise history, clinching the seventh seed in their conference and their first playoff berth since the 2011–12 season. Despite this, the Orlando Magic have not found consistency and continue to make changes, making them one of the youngest squads in the NBA, with the likes of Cole Anthony and Mo Bamba recently joining rookies Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs. That much young talent is coupled with inexperience, so it's not a surprise that they continue to find themselves at the bottom of the league.

How to Bet on the Orlando Magic

BetPhoenix.ag not only provides you with the best Orlando Magic Vegas odds, but we also provide you with many helpful tools, like this guide, to help our customers increase their chances of winning and introduce you to all the many moneymaking options available when wagering on the NBA, from the preseason through the NBA Finals.

After a couple of difficult seasons, the Orlando Magic continues rebuilding. They have an excellent young core of players, led by All-Star center Nikola Vucevic, and an excellent head coach, Steve Clifford, known for his defensive proficiency. This process takes time, but the fruits of patience will surely come, and this could be a breakthrough season for Orlando as they continue to improve on both ends of the court next season.

Placing your Orlando Magic bets on BetPhoenix thru the NBA basketball season can be a profitable and fun endeavor, especially if you put in some time and research.

Orlando Magic Spreads

Point Spreads are a margin-of-victory bet that indicates an estimated game result. This is an example of an Orlando Magic Point Spreads line:

Team Points Spread Odds

  • Orlando Magic -7
  • Memphis Grizzlies +7

In this case, the line indicates that the Orlando Magic is the favorite to win by a margin of more than seven points against the Memphis Grizzlies. On the other side, the Grizzlies are the underdog and can lose by less than a seven points margin.

A small spread of 4 or fewer points means that the game is expected to be a close matchup, while a large spread of 5 or more points means that the favorite is expected to perform much better than the underdog.

People betting on the Magic point spreads expect them to win by a margin over than -7 point spread, while people betting on the underdog are expecting the Memphis Grizzlies to lose by less than 7 points to cover the spread.

· Magic win by eight or more points: Magic bettors win

· Magic wins by precisely 7 points: The bet is a push, and all wagers are refunded

· Magic win by six points or less: Grizzlies bettors win

· Grizzlies win the game: Grizzlies bettors win

Orlando Magic Moneylines

The Orlando Magic Moneylines bet is the most straightforward option in sports betting. You simply bet on the team that you believe will win the game. There's a negative number for the favorite, or the team considered more likely to win, and a positive number for the underdog, or the team considered more likely to lose.

This is an example of an Orlando Magic Moneyline as it would be listed in BetPhoenix:

Team Moneyline

  • Orlando Magic -300
  • Memphis Grizzlies +240

Using this example, the Orlando Magic Moneyline would result as follows:

· Magic Moneyline: If you wagered to win $100 by betting on the Magic -300, you would need to risk $300.

· Grizzlies Moneyline: For every $100 wagered on the Grizzlies +240, you would receive $240 if Memphis wins the game.

Magic Moneylines and Magic point spreads use the same information to estimate the relative strength of each team for this particular matchup. The greater the Moneyline numbers indicate a greater favorite or more significant underdog.

Orlando Magic Over/Under Totals

The Magic Totals bet, or over/under bet, is a wager on the estimated combined score of the game, in which you bet on the total of points scored being higher or lower than the set value. You can bet the over, meaning you predict the score to be above the number, or the under, indicating that you expect the final score to be less than the estimate. The bet can also be a push if the final score equals exactly the estimate, in which case all bets are refunded. This is an example of an Orlando Magic Totals line as it would be listed in BetPhoenix:

Orlando Magic vs. Memphis Grizzlies

  • Total: 214.5
  • Over odds: -110
  • Under odds: -110

For every $1.10 risked on either option, you'd win $1.

Orlando Magic Parlays

Orlando Magic Parlays is a type of wager where you combine different single bets into one. This is very advantageous as the odds are increased substantially since all bets included as part of the parlay must win for the whole parlay to pay out.

You can combine different types of bets, like point spreads, moneylines, over/under totals, player props, and many other wagers. You can also choose between favorites and underdogs. Betphoenix will increase your Orlando Magic Parlays odds and payout as more individual bets are added. Magic parlays allow up to 10 single bets, including cross-sport bets, allowing you, for instance, to pair an NBA game bet with an NFL bet and a Soccer bet.

For example, we can combine the Orlando Magic Point Spread of -7 and Under 214.5. We can add another set of plays to the Magic parlay, like two more games, the Cleveland Cavaliers -3.5 against the Detroit Pistons and the Under 215.5 on that game, and the Brooklyn Nets -2.5 against the Washington Wizards and the Over 222.5 in that game, for a 6-team Magic Parlay.

  • Magic Spread: -7 -110
  • Magic Totals: Under 214.5 -110
  • Cavaliers Spread: -3.5 -110
  • Cavaliers Totals: Under 215.5 -110
  • Nets Spread: -2.5 -110
  • Nets Totals: Over 222.5 -110

This 6-team Heart Parlay would compound payout odds of +4741, well above 40x times your bet if you wagered on each line separately. For example, risking $10 would earn you a payout of $474.12, with these possible outcomes:

· Magic Point Spread covers, Magic over/under covers, All other 4 lines in the parlay cover, so all bets cover: Win $474.12

· Magic Point Spread pushes, Magic over/under covers, and All other 4 lines in the parlay cover. The push is canceled, and it becomes a 5-team parlay: Win $243.59

· Magic Point Spread covers, Magic over/under doesn't cover, All other 4 lines in the parlay cover. Loss: -$10

· Magic Point Spread covers, Magic over/under covers, and any of the other 4 lines in the parlay fail to cover. Loss: -$10

Any lost pick within the parlay selection constitutes a loss.

Orlando Magic Teasers

A teaser is a grouping of multiple bets combined into one single bet. The difference between teasers and parlays is that with teasers, the lines are moved in your favor by the number of points given by the teaser.

Orlando Magic Teasers often start at 4 points and can go up to 5 points. Available Teasers on BetPhoenix include:

  • 4 points Teasers for 2 to 8 Teams
  • 4.5 points Teasers for 2 to 8 Teams
  • 5 points Teasers for 2 to 8 Teams
  • 7 points Teaser for 3 Teams
  • 9 points Teaser for 4 Teams

One of the most popular Teasers is the 2-team 4-point that has the same payout as a regular -110 wager.

Magic Teasers are attractive for giving you a significant advantage with a much more favorable line, but it comes at a cost in terms of the payout opportunities.

Based on the previous example, we can tease the same picks of the parlay we made previously in a 4-point 6-team Magic teaser would be as follows:

Original Lines vs. Teased lines (4 points in your favor)

  • Magic Spread: -7 down to -3
  • Magic Totals: Under 214.5 up to 218.5
  • Cavaliers Spread: -3.5 down to +0.5
  • Cavaliers Totals: Under 215.5 up to 219.5
  • Nets Spread: -2.5 down to +1.5
  • Nets Totals: Over 222.5 down to 218.5

In the hypothetical case of the Magic winning the game 110-106 (-4/216), the Magic odds and Under failed to cover the original point spreads but would win on the 6-team 4-point Teaser, as they would cover the new -3 point spread, and the under 218.5 points.

Note that on teasers, a push is considered a loss.

Here are some of the most popular Ravens Futures Odds bets you can make before and through the regular season. Their current lines are:

  • Orlando Magic Regular Season Win Totals: 22.5
  • Orlando Magic odds to win the Southeast Division: +10000
  • Orlando Magic odds to win the Eastern Conference: +20000
  • Orlando Magic odds to win NBA Championship: +45000

Orlando Magic Odds To Win the Southeast Division

Orlando Magic odds to win the Southeast Division: +10000

The Magic have been the last team in their division for the previous two seasons, and the odds reflect this as they are likely to end the season below the .300 mark. Strong rivals like the Atlanta Hawks and the Miami Heat have also made progress and been reinforced. Nevertheless, Orlando has been building a structurally solid team, especially on defense. If Paolo Banchero and Moritz Wagner show improvement in the offensive side, this could easily change in the future.

Orlando Magic Odds To Win the Eastern Conference Championship

Orlando Magic odds to win the Eastern Conference: +20000

The Magic are listed at the end of the list in terms of odds to win the Eastern Conference, in the company of the Detroit Pistons and the Indiana Pacers. This Magic team could surprise some teams over the next few years, but it looks like that time has yet to arrive.

Orlando Magic Odds To NBA Championship

Orlando Magic odds to win NBA Championship: +45000

Orlando may not have any real shot at winning an NBA Championship this upcoming season; however, its future looks bright after drafting Paolo Banchero and signing brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner, gifted athletes with incredible size and scoring ability.

Orlando Magic 2021-2022 Season Recap

The 2021–22 was the Magic's 33rd season in the NBA. The Magic was looking to improve after their previous season's 21-51 record and make the playoffs for the first time since the 2017-2018 season.

This was the first season for newly hired coach Jamahl Mosley, former assistant coach at the Dallas Mavericks, after Steve Clifford's resignation. They completed the season with a 22-60 record (.268), last in the Southeast Division and 15th out of 15 in the Conference, one game behind the Detroit Pistons.

The Orlando Magic dove deep into reconstruction mode, and the results were as expected. They lost the second most games in the NBA behind the Houston Rockets, with 14 of the 60 losses being by 20+ points. They are simply at the beginning of the process of developing young talent. They performed surprisingly well in some fights, but it seldom gave them a genuine winning chance most nights. The bottom line is that they defended well but weren't able to score.
