CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores
This tournament is organized by CONMEBOL and has been held since 1969. It is the top tournament for South America teams and was named after the Libertadores. When it first began the tournament was only open to winners of the South American leagues but now there are at least three teams from each country in South America that compete.
