Euro 2020 Group Stage

As usual, 24 national teams will be fighting for the Old Continent's crown, divided into six groups of four teams each. The Euro 2020 betting lines are set, the groups are set, and it's time to review all you need to know for Europe's biggest soccer showdown!

Group A comprises perennial contender -and host- Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, and Wales. Soccer odds have Italy (-175) as the favorite to win this stage.

As for Group B, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, and Russia will fight for the top spot. According to the Euro 2020 betting lines, Belgium (-1000) is the odds on favorite to finish top of the group.

Four teams engage in battle in Group C, with Austria, Netherlands (-2500), North Macedonia, and Ukraine fighting to defy soccer odds by all means necessary to get through the round of 16.

Last World Cup runner-ups, Croatia, headline Group D, which also have the Czech Republic, England (-3300), and Scotland on the hunt for glory at the Euro 2020.

Group E has Poland, Slovakia, Spain, and Sweden all want a taste of Euro gold, but first have to overcome each other to keep it going. According to our Euro 2020 betting lines, Spain (-2000) is the favorite to win this group.

Last but not least, the group of death, Group F. Last edition's finalists Portugal and France (-1000) are involved, and Germany also adds some spice to Group F while Hungary is the ugly duck, trying to score some upsets.

Euro 2020 Qualifying Round

To qualify for the Euro 2020, the teams have to finish in the first two spots of their qualifying group. 20 teams sealed their place this way. The other four had to work a bit more and qualified via play-offs.

England dominated Group A of the qualifiers, winning seven out of the eight games and ending with a goal differential of +31. Pure and sheer superiority. The Czech Republic was the runner-up with 15 points and was the only one capable of winning vs. the Three Lions.

Surprisingly enough, the defending champions couldn't win their qualifying group. Portugal ended up second in Group B with 17 points, barely edging Serbia, who got the third spot, while Ukraine cashed big on the soccer odds by ending undefeated with six wins and two draws to top the stage with 20 points.

Group C had a photo finish as Germany edged out on the Netherlands to win the group with 21 points, to the 19 that the Oranje managed to get. They each got a victory on the road against themselves.

Speaking of really tight results, Group D was as close as it can get. Switzerland conquered the top by just a point advantage, as they closed with 17 points, to the 16 that Denmark pulled out. Even though the Dane ended undefeated and defeated the Swiss, it wasn't enough to win the group.

2018 World Cup Runner-ups are still strong. Croatia won Group E with 17 points, while Gareth Bale led Wales to yet another Euro participation ending second in the group with 14 points.

Spain won the tournament in 2008 and 2012, and they made sure they qualified flawlessly to this edition, winning eight and tying two to stay undefeated and put themselves amongst the favorites to win it all at the Euro 2020 betting lines. Sweden had a decent run and ended second in Group F with 21 points to Spain's 26.

Group G was the Robert Lewandowski show as he led Poland to end up in first place. The striker was involved in 44% of Poland's total goals. Austria had to accept second place.

In Group H, France was supposed to run through the rest, and they ended on top with 25 points, but it wasn't easy as Turkey had 23 and lost track after a draw against Island in the second to last matchday.

Kevin De Bruyne delivered masterclass after masterclass in the qualifying round as Belgium won all its 10 games in Group I with KDB as the assist leader for the qualifying stage and conceded only three goals. While the Red Devils went 30 for 30, Russia was efficient and ended up second with 24 points.

Finally, one of the favorites in the Euro 2020 betting lines, Italy, wasn't going to be impressed by Belgium and did precisely the same, winning 100% of their points to dominate Group J easily, scoring 37 and conceding only 4. Finland managed to enter the Euro directly despite losing four times (most by teams who advanced without play-offs).

As for the teams who qualified via play-offs, Hungary defeated Bulgaria and Island to win Route A. Slovakia got through a penalty shootout against Ireland and needed overtime vs. Northern Ireland to sealed their ticket for the Euro 2020 in Route B.

Route C saw Scotland winning consecutive penalty shootouts against Israel and Serbia to be in the tournament. Northern Macedonia didn't need more time, sealing both victories over Kosovo and Georgia in the 90 minutes to qualify in Route D.
