Turkey qualified by being the second place in Group H of the Euro Qualifiers. They ended up with seven wins, two draws, and one loss, failing to top the group by a bare two points against France.

European powerhouses Italy won their 10 games en route to a perfect qualifying stage for the Azzurri. They dominated every single game, scoring 37 goals and only conceding four. They come as the strongest teams in the group.

Wales continued their historic run of qualifying to their second consecutive Euro by barely edging Slovakia and Hungary to finish second in Group E behind Croatia. Out of the teams that qualify directly, they are the ones who scored the less amount of goals, with only 10 in eight games.

Euro 2020 odds have Switzerland as the second favorite to qualify to the Round of 16 at -175. This comes as no surprise, as the Swiss topped Group D, only losing once in the whole qualifying process.

Euro Group A Predictions

Let's get the obvious out of the way. There's a reason the Euro 2020 Group A odds have Italy winning this stage. Under Roberto Mancini, 'La Azurra' has played 24 games, winning 15, drawing seven, and only losing twice. The last losing effort was back in 2018. They are on an impressive run right now, and they should top Group A with ease.

The real question is who qualifies as second. Here, it gets tougher. Switzerland had a great run at the qualifiers and is backed up by the Euro 2020 odds, but their qualification isn't clear. This is because Turkey is a very competitive side, they play without fear, and the Euro 2020 Group A odds have them at -137 to qualify.

Three teams may come out of this group. Remember, the best four third places also get through. It's hard to see Wales replicating their 2016 success, as Gareth Bale, their top star, hasn't been really active in years now, and the team is four years older, things may get tough for them.

Euro Group A Host Cities

As you know by now, this edition of the Euro will have plenty of host cities. For Group A, Italy is not only favored by the Euro 2020 Group A odds but will also enjoy some home advantage as Rome is part of the host cities.

As the Stadio Olimpico opens its doors for three games, the other Group A matchups will be sorted out at the Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan. The 'Azzurri' will play the three games at home, while the other nations will travel back and forth. That's another reason to keep an eye on Italy's Euro 2020 odds, they will be fresher than the rest.
