NBA Conference Playoffs 2017 Predictions

  • What: Oklahoma City Thunder vs Houston Rockets
  • When: Tuesday, April 25, 2017 – 8:00 PM ET
  • Where: Toyota Center — Houston, TX
  • Spread: Rockets -7.5
  • Over/Under: 222

Betting on the Thunder?

It doesn’t matter how many points Russell Westbrook scores, the Thunder will tend to crumble because of its one-dimensionality. Westbrook had a 35-14-14 triple-double night in Game 4, but the Thunder’s chances of making it passed tonight are slim.

OKC’s 113-109 loss in Game 4 also saw four other players scoring in double figures, but some missed a few key opportunities such as Andre Roberson who missed 10 of 12 shots at the free throw line. The series now heads to Houston where the Thunder has not won in four trips to Toyota Center this year.

Betting on the Rockets?

Even without James Harden firing on all cylinders, the Rockets have prevailed. Harden only put up 16 points on 5 of 16 shooting in Game 4, but the Rockets’ bench stepped up with 62 points and 25 rebounds.

Brazilian Nenê came up big with 28 points and 10 rebounds on a perfect 12 for 12 shooting night. Eric Gordon and Lou Williams, meanwhile, each had 18 points.

Betting Trends: Oklahoma City is 1-6 SU in its last 7 games when playing Houston; Houston is 6-1 SU in its last 7 games when playing Oklahoma City

Game Prediction: Rockets win but don’t cover; ATS bet is Thunder +7.5.

  • What: Memphis Grizzlies vs San Antonio Spurs
  • When:  Tuesday, April 25, 2017, 9:00 PM ET
  • Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio
  • Spread: Spurs -10
  • Over/Under: 187

Betting on the Grizzlies?

Mike Conley is playing to his money’s worth. The best paid player in the NBA has kicked into overdrive through these last two games and led the Grizzlies to tying the series at two games a piece. Conley scored 35 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and handed out nine assists.

However, the rest of the team needs to pick up their slack; Marc Gasol added 16 points, but also seven turnovers of the 22 the team committed.

Betting on the Spurs?

Phenom Kawhi Leonard is seemingly unstoppable. In fact, if not for Leonard’s heroic performance, San Antonio would not have caught up at the end of regulation time in Game 4. Leonard bagged 43 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 threes along with 6 steals and is a nightmare for Memphis’ defenders.

However, as is the case with Memphis, Leonard’s teammates also can kick it up a notch or two. LaMarcus Aldridge seems outplayed by Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol and only grabbed two rebounds in his last game. In Game 4, he only scored 13 points.

Betting Trends: Memphis is 3-7 SU in its last 10 games; San Antonio is 2-5 SU in its last 7 games.

Game Prediction: San Antonio wins but doesn’t cover the 10 points.
