Weekly College Basketball Free Picks

It's early in the college basketball season, but there are so many great games this week that you can't not bet on! Use my college basketball free picks to cash in for some extra Christmas cash this season. What's going to happen when 7 Xavier goes against 9 Baylor on Saturday? Also on Saturday, will 4 Kansas keep Stanford from pulling off an ATS or SU upset?

#7 Xavier at #9 Baylor
When:  Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Ferrell Center, Waco, TX
TV: ESPN 2

Analysis: 6-0 Xavier has already beaten Northern Iowa, Clemson and Missouri this season. Those are 3 decent college basketball programs.

Baylor could be more difficult to handle for the Musketeers. The Bears are undefeated as well. They have wins versus Oregon, VCU, Michigan State and Louisville. Forward Jonathan Motley has played like a Naismith Award Candidate this season. He averages 18 points, 8 boards and 2 assists for the Bears.

Xavier is a good team. But, I think that their higher-ranking over Baylor at this point is due to reputation more than anything else. I'm going with Baylor.

Stanford at #4 Kansas
When:  Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3:30 pm ET
Where: Allen Fieldhouse, Lawrence, KS
TV: ESPN

Analysis: Stanford heads to Allen Fieldhouse in a game where they project to be huge underdogs. The Stanford program hasn't been able to hang with UCLA or Arizona in the Pac-12 for a while. At least first year coach Jerrod Haase has the Cardinal playing hard. Stanford is a very good 6-1 to start the season.

But 5 and 1 Kansas rides a 5 game win streak as of Nov. 28. One of the wins during the win streak was an awesome 77 to 75 W over Duke on Nov. 15. Rock Chalk appears well-suited, with a mix of great freshman and terrific upper classmen, to be the team to beat in the NCAA Tournament come March.
They should have no trouble versus a program on the rebuild like Stanford. UK should win this game by close to 20 points.
