Super Bowl 51 Odds & Betting Tips

The NFL playoffs are here. After a grueling five-month regular season, the post season schedule and Wild Card weekend odds are out. We know the higher seeds are pretty big favorites over the lower seeds. We know that Connor Cook and Brock Osweiler are facing off in an actual, real-life playoff game that even these two cities may not want. What makes that worse is, the Raiders Vs Texans is the first game of the NFL playoffs this season.

If you are ready to bet on the Super Bowl, here are the odds. If you are the studious type then keep reading for my in-depth NFL Super Bowl betting analysis.

The Odds-On Favorite To Win Super Bowl LI: New England Patriots 6-4

The Pats are not only the best team in the playoffs, they also have the easiest path to Houston. Bill Belichick, Tom Brady and company are guaranteed to play either Matt McGloin/Connor Cook, Matt Moore or Brock Osweiler/Tom Savage in their first playoff game. I am already betting them to reach the AFC Championship Game for a sixth straight season. If someone can upend the Pittsburgh Steelers, along the way no one in the AFC stands in their way to reach the Super Bowl.

The Dark Horse Pick To Win Super Bowl LI: Atlanta Falcons 8-1

The Falcons have:

  • an MVP candidate in QB Matt Ryan,
  • the NFL's sack leader in LB Vic Beasley,
  • a balanced and prolific offense with WR Juilo Jones and the rushing duo of Tevin Coleman & Devonta Freeman

Any questions?

Led by Matt Ryan and a criminally underrated offensive line, the Falcons led the NFL in scoring this season, averaging 33 points per game, while amassing fifth-most rush yards and second-most passing yards per contest.

With Julio Jones, a bevy of excellent secondary options and two strong running backs in Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman, this Falcons offense is hoarding talent.

The Popular Bet To Win Super Bowl LI: Green Bay Packers 15-2

Momentum. No other team in the league has as much mo at their backs than the Green Bay Packers.

Aaron Rodgers'  Green Bay Packers did exactly what the quarterback and MVP candidate said they would do. They ran the table in the final six games of the 2016 season. Because of that they’re NFC North champions and will host a first-round playoff game Sunday.

Some of the best defenses in the NFL have been exposed by Rodgers in recent weeks.

The Texans, who boast arguably the top defense in the whole league, allowed Rodgers to toss two touchdowns and finish with a 108 QB rating. Then the Seahawks were hit with a 3 TD and 0 pick performance (QB rating 150). Finally, the Vikings were torched for four touchdowns (zero picks) and a 136 quarterback rating.
