Huge NFL Divisional Weekend!

NFL Divisional Round Preview

The NFL Playoffs heats up with the Divisional Round this weekend. The NFL Wild Card Round has come and gone, and only one lower-seeded team has advanced to the Divisional Round, but we could be in line for more upsets.

The NFL Divisional round schedule is in place, with two games on Saturday and two on Sunday.

On Saturday, the two top seeds in the NFL Playoff begin their Super Bowl LVIII quest, starting with the AFC No. 1 seed Baltimore Ravens hosting the Houston Texans in a rematch of Week 1. Then the NFC top-seeded San Francisco 49ers receive the Green Bay Packers in a historic 10th postseason matchup, making it the all-time most repeated playoff matchup.

On Sunday, the Detroit Lions, after their first postseason victory in 32 years, host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, followed by the Kansas City Chiefs visiting the Buffalo Bills to wrap things up on Sunday evening.

The NFL Divisional Round always delivers the best football weekend of the year, so let's dive directly into the matchups:

1. Texans (4) @ Ravens (1)

Saturday, January 20 - 4:30 PM ET (ESPN/ABC)

Awesome quarterbacks matchup, with presumptive MVP Lamar Jackson against Rookie of the Year finalist C.J. Stroud. The Texans have come a long way since their season-opening loss to the Ravens, developing a smart and productive offense. The defining factor will be how they deal with the Raven's defense, the second-best in the red zone.

●   Venue: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD.

●   Spread: Ravens -9.5

●   Money Line: Ravens -450 - Texans +375

●   Total: 43.5

2. Packers (7) at 49ers (1)

Saturday, January 20 - 8:15 PM ET (FOX)

After steamrolling over the Cowboys, the Packers face the team to beat, as the 49ers look destined for a deep run into the Super Bowl. Despite Jordan Love ranking in the top three best quarterbacks since week 9, expectations are that a fully rested 49ers offense guided by Brock Purdy could stretch the Packers' defense thin.

●   Venue: Levi's Stadium, San Francisco, CA.

●   Spread: 49ers -9.5

●   Money Line: 49ers -500 - Packers +400

●   Total: 51

3. Buccaneers (4) at Lions (3)

Sunday, January 21 - 3:00 PM ET (NBC)

The Bucs look like the outlier in the Divisional Round. Call it luck coming as a 9-8 winner of the weak NFC South and walking over the Eagles in quick descent, this could be the time for Baker Mayfield to prove they belong this far in the playoffs. But Jared Goff's Lions are hot and embarked on a history-making run, and Ford Field is getting even louder.

Jared Goff's Lions continue their bid to reach their first-ever Super Bowl against Baker Mayfield's Bucs. A theoretically weaker rival, the Bucs look like an outlier in the group of the very best in the Divisional Round. Still, they won 5 out of the last 6 to make it to the playoffs and walked over the disappointing Eagles. Can they stop a historic Lion's run in Ford Field?

Both teams accomplished huge home victories this Wild Card Weekend. Baker Mayfield's Bucs came up big as they blew out the Eagles. The Lions made history with their first playoff victory in 32 years, holding the Rams in a nail-biter game. While Jared Goff's Lions offense is delivering, their defense shows some flaws that give Tampa's QB and receivers an opening to avenge their 20-6 loss on Week 5 and deliver an upset.

●   Venue: Ford Field, Detroit, MI.

●   Spread: Lions -6.5

●   Money Line: Lions -290 - Bucs +240

●   Total: 48.5

4. Chiefs (3) at Bills (2)

Sunday, January 21 - 6:30 PM ET (CBS)

This is the game of the week as we get another installment of Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes, but this time is a Bills home game. Patrick Maholmes faces his first road playoff game with a Kansas City offense filled with holes, especially in the receiver's front, where they seem unable to catch the ball. The Bills come pretty banged up, with a filled infirmary, but count on Josh Allen to keep playing at an MVP level to give us another classic that will go down in NFL history.

●   Venue: Highmark Stadium, Buffalo, NY.

●   Spread: Bills -3

●   Money Line: Bills -145 - Chiefs +125

●   Total: 45.5
