Two Passing Attacks Put Panthers–Packers Over 47 in Play

By BetPhoenix Editorial Team updated

Carolina Panthers at Green Bay Packers — Over 47 for the full-game combined score, including overtime.

Through Week 7, Carolina averaged 276 passing yards per game and Green Bay averaged 268.6. If both passing attacks turn those yards into points, Over 47 (-120) is worth a look.

Green Bay has called a pass on 66.9% of its offensive plays this season—the highest rate in the NFL. Jordan Love has thrown five touchdown passes in his last three games, while Christian Watson has six receiving touchdowns this season. If Love and his receivers connect, the Packers could put points on the board.

Carolina has shown it can move the ball through the air, too. But its passing offense managed 178 yards against Tampa Bay last week. A rebound through the air could help the Panthers add points Thursday.

There is a real reason to hesitate. Green Bay had nine interceptions this season. An interception could stall a drive and cut into the scoring needed for the Over. Green Bay receivers have also dropped 20 Love passes in seven games, another obstacle for an offense that relies on the throw.

Take Over 47 if you expect both passing attacks to put up points. Pass if Green Bay’s defense makes you doubt Carolina’s scoring.
