Exclusive! Scorching-Hot Thursday Night NBA Doubleheader

Now that the NBA starts to sizzle after the All-Star weekend, what better way than to add some heat with two scorching-hot battles between the Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics and Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers? The current NBA betting lines for these games have the Bucks and Rockets as the 5.5 and 1-point favorites respectively, but things can change from here until tipoff so you might want to get in on the early action.

What: Milwaukee Bucks vs. Boston Celtics

  • When: February 21, 2019, 8:00 PM ET
  • Where: Fiserv Forum
  • Spread: Bucks -5.5
  • Over/Under: TBD

Betting on the Bucks?

The full star-studded lineup is healthy for the first time this year, and if this doesn’t give opponents the willies, they should get their heads checked.

The Bucks are playing well at both ends of the court. Behind Milwaukee’s MVP candidate, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and a supporting cast of great players, the Bucks are the team to beat in the East.

And, the Bucks seem to be also bulking up their ranks with the addition of Nikola Mirotic, who could be another good option as an outside perimeter shooter.

Betting on the Celtics?

The Celts received a big push in the positive side with the return of Kyrie Irving. Even if pesky injuries still nag Irving, it seems he’s healthy enough to carry his team forward.

Teammates Jayson Tatum and Gordon Hayward are also pulling their weight. Tatum is averaging 16.5 points and 6.3 rebounds as the only player to start every game for Boston in 2018-19. And, Hayward has a string of solid recent performances.

Pick: Bucks -5.5

What: Houston Rockets vs. Los Angeles Lakers

  • When: February 21, 2019, 10:30 PM ET
  • Where: STAPLES Center
  • Spread: Rockets -1
  • Over/Under: TBD

Betting on the Rockets?

Houston went into the All-Star break with a loss to Minnesota. But don’t tell that to James Harden, who kept his high-flying scoring streak soaring with 42 points tallied.

It’s Harden’s 31st consecutive game having scored 30 or more points. And, it’s become clear this man is the fuel the Rockets will need to make it into the playoffs and beyond.

However, there are limits to Harden’s ability and health. The return of Chris Paul and Clint Capella is something that the Rockets desperately need even with Harden playing at the top of his game.

Betting on the Lakers?

Even with LeBron James, the Lakers are taking on water fast. Los Angeles entered the break on a two-game skid and struggling to win consistently.

The Lakers are especially suffering on the defensive side of things, giving up a ton of points to opponents and getting into shootouts that they don’t win.

Now facing the Rockets, and its deadly marksman, if the Lakers can’t get their D going, the ship will take on another name altogether.

Rockets vs. Lakers Betting Trends

  • Houston is 4-10 ATS in its last 14 games
  • Houston is 4-2 SU in its last six games
  • Houston is 2-7 ATS in its last nine games on the road
  • LA Lakers is 1-4 SU in its last five games
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of LA Lakers' last six games
  • LA Lakers is 1-4-1 ATS in its last six games at home

Pick: Rockets -1
