[Week 15] 2018 NFL Latest Odds, Analysis & Game Predictions

The NFL regular season is winding down, but with some teams still in the fight for the wild cards it sets up some great games in Week 15. Let’s take a look at some of the games as well as the latest NFL lines that could hold value.

Chargers at Chiefs (-3.5)

• When: December 13, 2018, 8:20 PM ET

Analysis: There’s not much to say about this AFC West showdown, except that the Chiefs will probably dominate as they have in the Andy Reid era. KC is 19-1 SU in their last 20 games against division rivals.

The fact the Chiefs have won nine-straight games (7-2 ATS) over the Chargers should be telling of which team to back.

• LA Chargers is 9-1 SU in its last ten games
• Kansas City is 12-5-1 ATS in its last 18 games
• Kansas City is 1-4-1 ATS in its last six games

Pick: Chiefs -3.5

Texans (-6) at Jets

• When: December 15, 2018, 4:30 PM ET

Analysis: That the Jets have home field advantage doesn’t mean much because New York has lost their last three games at MetLife Stadium. They’ve also lost those three games by an average of 21.7 points.

The Jets to be a 6.5-point dog, though to be fair New York tends to do well when they’re home underdogs of six or more points (7-2 ATS).

• Houston is 9-1 SU in its last ten games
• NY Jets is 2-5 ATS in its last seven games
• NY Jets is 1-6 SU in its last seven games

Pick: Texans -6.5

Browns at Broncos (-3)

• When: December 15, 2018, 8:20 PM ET

Analysis: It’s no secret that betting on the Broncos when they’re playing the Browns is a safe bet. The Broncos have defeated the Browns 11-0 from 1991 and also have a 9-2 ATS record in those games.

But, could things change this time around? The Browns are 8-5 ATS on the season so maybe they will.

• Cleveland is 5-19-1 SU in its last 25 games
• Cleveland is 5-12-1 ATS in its last 18 games on the road
• Denver is 8-16-1 ATS in its last 25 games
• Denver is 8-17 SU in its last 25 games

Pick: Browns +3

Cowboys at Colts (2.5)

• When: December 16, 2018, 1:00 PM ET

Analysis: The fact the Cowboys have a 5-game winning streak didn’t prevent them from being an underdog for this game. The fact is, however, the Boys could be a solid ATS bet as they’ve covered in those five games. Meanwhile, the Colts haven’t done badly either and have won six of seven games with a respectable 4-2-1 ATS record in those games.

• Dallas is 5-0 SU in its last five games
• Indianapolis is 6-1 SU in its last seven games
• Indianapolis is 2-3-1 ATS in its last six games at home

Pick: Cowboys +3

Cardinals at Falcons (-8.5)

• When: December 16, 2018, 1:00 PM ET

Analysis: The Falcons haven’t been a good bet this season. Atlanta is 3-10 ATS on the year, which is as bad as you can get if you’re betting against the spread. Though they’re a big favorite against the Cardinals, I wouldn’t stake my money on them to cover.

• Arizona is 8-14-1 ATS in its last 23 games on the road
• Atlanta is 0-5 ATS in its last five games
• Atlanta is 0-5 SU in its last five games

Pick: Cardinals +8.5

Packers at Bears (-5.5)

• When: December 16, 2018, 1:00 PM ET

Analysis: The Bears will want payback for their loss to Green Bay back in Week 1. Chicago is on a hot streak and sports a 6-1 record both straight-up and ATS in their last seven games. But, though the Bears seem to be the better team, they tend to struggle against Aaron Rodgers. I’m still backing the Bears to win simply because the Packers are 0-6 straight-up and 1-4-1 ATS on the road this year.

• Chicago is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games

Pick: Bears -5.5

Dolphins at Vikings (-8)

• When: December 16, 2018, 1:00 PM ET

Analysis: After last Sunday’s wild victory over the Patriots, you sort of think about whether to bet on the Dolphins. The problem is Miami tends to struggle against NFC teams and have gone -4 both straight-up and ATS in their past five games.

• Miami is 0-5 SU in its last five games on the road
• Minnesota is 5-9-2 ATS in its last 16 games
• Minnesota is 2-4 SU in its last six games

Pick: Vikings =8

Patriots at Steelers

• When: December 16, 2018, 4:25 PM ET

Analysis: There’s still no word on whether Ben Roethlisberger will play in this game. That’s the reason why there’s still not a line on this game. Nevertheless, the Steelers seem to find it difficult to beat the Pats and have lost four straight in the series.
