Should You Bet on the Steelers?

The Steelers held down the fort, not allowing the Rams a single offensive touchdown and winning 17-12 last week. Pittsburgh is now 5-4 SU and 5-3-1 ATS.

It’s been Pittsburgh’s defense that gets credit for the Steelers having strung together a four-game win streak. Four forced turnovers, along with constant pressure to Rams QB Jared Goff, led to the Steelers’ win and is a sign of a defensive squad that keeps on improving.

However, the Steelers have a tough task ahead of them in playing against the Browns. The hatred between these two teams is legendary, and there’s nothing the Browns would love more than to rain of Pittsburgh’s playoff parade.

The Steelers defense has dug in, and their hard-nosed playing style gives quarterback Mason Rudolph enough time on the field to do his job and win games.

Should You Bet on the Browns?

The Browns are having a disappointing season despite all the hoopla at the start. However, technically, Cleveland can still turn things around with a win over the Steelers.

However, ruining Pittsburgh’s plans of making it themselves to the playoffs is the frosting on the cake for the Browns.

Cleveland has a soft schedule ahead, and their victory over Buffalo last Sunday may spark a fire in their bellies to win at any cost tonight.

The Browns’ offense stinks, though, and it’s hard to back them even as favorites and playing at home. They face one of the best pass rush defenses in the league, so Baker Mayfield best gets ready for a long, painful night.

Hopefully, for the Browns, they’ll have solved some problems in the backfield now that running back Kareem Hunt is back from suspension. Hunt could pair up with Nick Chubb and open an alternative ground attack for Mayfield.

  • Rush Yds.: 117.67
  • Pass Attempts: 35.33

Betting Trends

  • Pittsburgh is 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven games.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of Pittsburgh's last seven games.
  • Pittsburgh is 5-1 SU in their last six games.
  • Cleveland is 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games.
  • Cleveland is 1-4 SU in their last five games.
  • The total has gone OVER in 4 of Cleveland's last five games against Pittsburgh.

Insider Prediction:  The Steelers may be the underdogs in this game for a change, but it’s also something they’re not afraid of. Pittsburgh’s defense is probably licking their chops at going after Mayfield, and I don’t think the Browns’ O line will stop them.

Pick: Steelers +3
