Should You Bet on the Chiefs?

Kansas' recent loss to the Texans is their second home defeat, but now they face an even harder battle at Mile High against a pumped Broncos team that just defended their turf against the Titans, winning 16-0.

Injuries to key players may hamper the Chiefs' offense. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is also aggravated by an ankle injury that has been limiting his movement throughout this season.

Mahomes will also have to figure out a way of avoiding Denver’s pass rush. The problem is that the Chiefs’ offensive line is too short of starting linemen, so Mahomes might find himself sacked on more than one down.

There are significant problems on defense as well. From what we saw last week against the Texans, the Chiefs have one of the league’s worst defenses. The Chiefs gave away 192 rush yards to the Texans, which turned into nearly forty minutes of clock time, too.

Should You Bet on the Broncos?

The Broncos defense crushed the Titans offense and left their quarterbacks with seven sacks and three interceptions. That’s the kind of intensity that Denver is going to offer the Chiefs in this game.

It’s good the Broncos defense is playing well because it’s the only thing that’s keeping the team afloat. Denver’s offense continues to sputter with quarterback Joe Flacco not being able to lift it.

But, if Flacco leads a ground attack with Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman spearheading it, then the Broncos may get an edge while keeping Mahomes off of the field.

Insider Prediction:  It’s going to be rough for Mahomes and the Chiefs’ offensive line with all of their injuries. But, they can get the job done. I’ll take the Chiefs.
