The NFL Divisional Round gave us some of the best football of the year. On Saturday, the number one seed in the AFC, Baltimore Ravens, beat the fourth-seeded Houston Texans. Then, the NFC top-seeded San Francisco 49ers beat their conference's seventh-seeded Green Bay Packers.

Sunday began with the NFC third-seeded Detroit Lions making history by beating fourth-seeded Tampa Bay Buccaneers, culminating with a spectacular AFC Showdown in which third-seeded Kansas City Chiefs conquered Buffalo against the second-seeded Bills.

Just like that, the NFL Playoffs are coming to a close, and Super Bowl LVIII is around the corner. It's time to take a first dice into the AFC and NFC Championship games, the last stop before the ultimate showdown.

AFC Championship Game

#3 Chiefs (13-6) @ #1 Ravens (14-4)

For the first time in his career, Lamar Jackson will be playing in the AFC Championship game, and if he wants to win, all he will have to do is beat the guy who's played six straight AFC title games, Patrick Mahomes.

The Chiefs are coming off a tough 27-24 win against the Buffalo Bills in their NFL Divisional Round game, while the Ravens delivered a crushing 34-10 victory win over the Houston Texans.

Everyone expects Mahomes and his Chiefs to upset the Ravens, but Jackson feels destined to reach the Super Bowl this season. Baltimore's offense is firing on all cylinders, and the defense is clicking. The Ravens are in their best moment, and if they slow down Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs just enough, they surely will return to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2013.

The Chiefs have to stop the most electrifying quarterback in the NFL. The Ravens have to stop the most talented quarterback in the NFL. No one wouldn't want to be in charge of trying to do either of those things.

NFC Championship Game

Detroit Lions @ San Francisco 49ers

The Detroit Lions come off a 31-23 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in their NFL Divisional Round game, while the San Francisco 49ers accomplished an unconvincing 24-21 win against the Green Bay Packers.

Can the Lions beat the 49ers? Yes, they can. Will they? The public doesn't think so. Detroit will have to play outside the friendly confines of Ford Field for the first time this postseason, and San Francisco's defense will get to Jared Goff enough to force some turnovers. Brock Purdy will be efficient enough to lead the 49ers back to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2020.

This game will go one of two ways: Either the 49ers will destroy the Lions and win by double digits, or Detroit will get to its first Super Bowl by stealing the win in a close game. The Lions haven't won a road playoff game since 1957, and they haven't won in San Francisco since 1975, but this feels like a team of destiny.

●   Venue: Levi's Stadium, San Francisco, CA.

●   Spread: 49ers -7

●   Money Line: 49ers -345 - Lions +285
