Betting on the Ravens?

The Ravens tore apart the Texans last week. There was nothing Houston could do to prevent the 41-7 massacre. The Ravens rushed for 263 yards while Lamar Jackson passed for four touchdowns in a game that was simply unfair.

What Jackson is doing at the quarterback position is incredible. The second-year QB is writing his playbook leading the league’s highest-scoring offense. Baltimore is averaging 31.4 points per game this season, including 42.3 points over their past three games.

Baltimore has also taken significant steps on the defensive side of things, too. The Ravens’ defense has allowed just 16 points per game and is steadily improving its defensive markers over their last three games.

Betting on the Rams?

The Rams beat the Bears 17-7 last week, but the win wasn’t pretty. Los Angeles had significant problems keeping possession of the ball and lost the turnover battle. They also had issues converting on third-down opportunities.

Los Angeles didn’t have Brandin Cooks or Robert Woods, but Todd Gurley stepped up to produce 133 yards and a touchdown. Quarterback Jared Goff is a big part of the Rams’ offense, completing 225 of 373 passes for 2,783 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Rams should have Cooks and Woods back for this game.

The Rams have also improved on defense. Since allowing 55 points to the Buccaneers in Week 4, the Rams scoring defense has been on an upswing. Over their past five games, Los Angeles has only allowed 12.8 points per game.

Betting Trends

  • Baltimore is 4-1 ATS in their last five games.
  • Baltimore is 6-0 SU in their last six games.
  • Baltimore is 5-2 SU in their last seven games against LA Rams.
  • LA Rams are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games.
  • The total has gone UNDER in 5 of LA Rams' last five games.
  • LA Rams are 10-5 SU in their last 15 games.

Insider Prediction:  The Rams offense isn’t all too good despite having somehow managing to win. Even if Cooks and Woods do return for this game, I don’t think the Rams will stop Jackson and the Ravens’ offense.

Pick: Ravens -3.5
