2014 Arnold Palmer Invitational Event

Arnold Palmer Invitational Tournament Predictions at the Bay Hill Club

The top three players in the world are in the field for this week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Florida. This tournament has been one that Tiger Woods has owned in his career, winning it eight times. Tiger is the favorite to win this week but it is hard to get too excited about his chances considering he hasn’t played well this year and has a balky back. Woods is joined in the field by world number two Adam Scott and world number three Henrik Stenson. Half of the world’s top 20 players are in the field this week. Let’s look at the tournament and golf predictions.

Favorites

Tiger is favored to win this event that he has won eight times in his career. If you are going to bet on Tiger you have to hope his back doesn’t cause him trouble. Tiger will likely go off as the favorite with odds of about 7-1.

World number two Adam Scott is next on the odds board but he is listed at double-digit odds. Right with Scott in terms of golf betting odds is Bubba Watson. Each player is listed at about 15-1. Justin Rose is also in the mix as he is playing better of late. World number three Henrik Stenson is not among the favorites.

Other Contenders

You do have to put Stenson in the mix simply because he is ranked third in the world. Zach Johnson and Hunter Mahan are two other players who could be in contention for the win and not to be left out are Harris English and Keegan Bradley.

Predictions

I like Justin Rose at odds of about 15-1. He is playing well again and he has done well at Bay Hill with a second place finish last year and a tie for third in 2011. I also like Graeme McDowell at odds of about 25-1. He has played well this year and he finished second in this event in 2012. My longshot this week is Patrick Reed. All he has done is win this season. He has two wins in his last six starts.
