Rory McIlroy +700 (bet $100 to win $700)
Could this really be Rory’s year? Oddsmakers seem to think so. McIlroy is the clear betting favorite heading into the Masters after winning the Players Championship.
The Masters is the only grand slam that has eluded McIlroy, but he seems to be locked on target after finishing his first seven tournaments in 2019 no worse than ninth place. Also, statistically, he’s having the best putting season of his PGA Tour career, and that should place him at the top of the field.
Dustin Johnson +900 (bet $100 to win $900)
Johnson killed it at the WGC-Mexico Championship. Until a month ago, DJ was at the top of the betting odds. McIlroy only passed him after claiming the Players title, but these two are probably going on a head-to-head battle in which either player can win.
This year, Johnson won twice in worldwide competitions and has a top 10 finish in his last three starts at Augusta, so he’s a solid bet for the win.
Tiger Woods +1000 (bet $100 to win $1000)
Winning has been a long time coming for Woods. It’s been 14 years since Woods’ fourth of four Masters wins, but he’s still a great bet. He’s had a slow start this year, so his performance might not be stellar. A buck gets ten though, there will be a ton of people betting on Tiger to win.
Woods is in the middle of a comeback to former glory, and this could give him motivation enough to win this tournament.
Justin Rose +1200 (bet $100 to win $1200)
Rose has done well at Augusta, posting a 25-finish every year since 2012, and four top 10s. Rose also won the Farmers Insurance Open in January, along with finishing T8 at the Players. This golf course seems to love Rose and could give him a bit of an edge over other top competitors.
Some would argue Rose is better than Johnson and could give Tiger and McIlroy a run for their money. At +1200, he seems to be a good bet, considering he’s done everything but win at Augusta in his career.
Justin Thomas +1200 (bet $100 to win $1200)
The field in the Masters is loaded, but Thomas is one of its premier talents. Even if he’s not finished better than 17th at the Masters, he did win the 2017 PGA Championship and could be a good bet because of his solid all-around game.
