The 2022-2023 season will be the Seattle Seahawks' 47th in the NFL and their 13th under Head Coach Pete Carroll and General Manager John Schneider. In a year with many changes, they will try to do better than last season and reach the playoffs after missing out last year.

The Seattle Seahawks ended up dead last in the NFC West last season, with a record of 7-10, marking just the second time the Seahawks have missed the playoffs since Russell Wilson became the starter quarterback in 2012. However, the Seahawks decided it was time to start from scratch and traded Wilson to the Denver Broncos in exchange for quarterback Drew Lock, plus a significant number of draft picks this past offseason.

All those iconic names from the Seahawks teams of the 2010s are a thing of the past. The last remnants of their long-gone glory years departed this offseason, with Wilson traded to the Denver Broncos, and Bobby Wagner released and later signed up by the Los Angeles Rams.

But it's not all gloom for the Seahawks as they enter this complete overhaul phase. The post-Wilson era is already underway. The battle between newly traded Drew Lock and Geno Smith for the commanding rights to the new team seems to be settled in Smith's favor.

The outlook for the Seahawks is bleak. Karma wasted no time reuniting the Seahawks and Wilson, as they open as a +6½ odds underdogs against their former signal caller and the team to which he was traded, the Denver Broncos, on Monday Night Football in Week 1. Their total season win odds are 5.5 games in our NFL future betting odds.

The good news is that they keep Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, giving the new quarterback an outstanding duo of receivers. Nevertheless, their presence will not be enough for the Seahawks to be considered a potential playoff team this season as they are listed dead last in their division at +1200 to win their division and at +7500 odds to win the Super Bowl, but things can change.

Most analysts aren't expecting more than a win or two against their formidable NFC West rivals. The disappointing preseason might hint at the Seahawks not getting a single victory against the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams, or San Francisco 49ers. So far, all signs are that this will be a long season for the Emerald City fans.

Lumen Field, located in the city's SoDo neighborhood, has been their home stadium since 2002 and is often a sellout. Their often-packed seating capacity of 68,740 fans has gained them a spot in the Guinness World Record as the loudest crowd roar in an outdoor stadium, measuring an unbelievable reading of 137.6 decibels in 2014.

How to Bet on the Seattle Seahawks

BetPhoenix.ag offers an exciting and highly lucrative way to follow and get the best Seattle Seahawks odds during the NFL season.

Placing your Seattle Seahawks bets on BetPhoenix thru the NFL football season can be a profitable and fun endeavor, particularly if you put in some time and research. This guide is just one of many helpful tools BetPhoenix offers to help you maximize your chances of winning when wagering on NFL games, from the preseason through the Super Bowl.

Seattle Seahawks Spreads

The points spread indicates the winning or losing margin. This is an example of a Seattle Seahawks Spreads line:

Team Points Spread Odds

Denver Broncos -6.5 -110

Seattle Seahawks +6.5 -110

The Broncos are a -6.5 favorite against the Seahawks. That makes Seattle a +6.5 underdog. A negative value indicates the favorite, and a positive value indicates an underdog. A large spread of 6 or more means that one side is expected to perform better in this matchup.

When betting on the Seahawks spreads, in this case, +6.5, Those who wager on the favorite, in this case, the Denver Broncos, hope they win by a bigger margin than the point spread. If the spread is negative (-6.5), that team must win by seven points or more to cover it. On the other hand, to cash in on the Seahawks Spread +6.5 as the underdog, the (+) team must either win, or lose by less than the spread.

  • Broncos win by 7+ points: Broncos bettors win
  • Broncos win by 1-6 points: Seahawks bettors win
  • Seahawks win the game: Seahawks bettors win

Due to the .5 fractional point on the Seahawks Spread, there can't be a push. There cannot be a push because of the Seahawks Spread 0.5 fractional point.

Seattle Seahawks Moneylines

The Seahawks Moneylines bet is the easiest and simplest bet in sports betting. You pick which side you expect will win the game. Negative odds are for favorites and positive for underdogs. Like the spread, a negative value indicates the favorite, and a positive value indicates an underdog. The Seahawks Moneyline for the first game of the season is listed in BetPhoenix as follows:

Team Moneyline

Denver Broncos -273

Seattle Seahawks +233

Moneylines use American odds based on a $100 bet. The amount you win or lose varies depending on the event because the odds are adjusted based on each team's or player's skill. The larger the Moneyline numbers indicate a bigger favorite or more significant underdog in the game. Using this example, the Seattle Seahawks Moneyline would result as follows:

  • Broncos Moneyline: If you wagered to win $100 by betting on the Broncos -273, you would need to risk $273.
  • Seahawks Moneyline: For every $100 wagered on the Seahawks +233, you would receive $233 if Seattle wins the game.

Seattle Seahawks Over/Under Totals

The Totals bet is an estimated projected final score based on how we envision the game will unfold from a scoring perspective. Seahawks Totals are expressed in an Over/Under set, in which you pick if you expect this result to be over or under this estimate. The total points take into account both teams' scorings. The Seahawks Over/Under Totals for the first game of the season are listed in BetPhoenix as follows:

Denver Broncos vs. Seattle Seahawks Over/Under

  • Total: 44
  • Over odds: -110
  • Under odds: -110

For every $1.10 risked on either option, you'd win $1.

Seattle Seahawks Parlays

Seahawks Parlays is a wager type in which two or more bets are linked together to form a single bet with a higher payout. However, for the bet to win, all selections must win.

Betphoenix will increase your Seahawks Parlays payout as you add more games to your parlay because winning becomes less likely as you add more teams. You can combine point spreads, moneylines, over/under, player props, and other wagers. You can choose between favorites and underdogs.

Let's say you believe the Seahawks Spread (+6.5) and the Over (44) will cover their spreads. You may add a third play on the parlay, like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers -2.5 over the Dallas Cowboys. You can parlay them together on a 3-team Seahawks Parlay, risking $10 for a payout of about 4.5 times your bet instead of risking $10 to bet on each separately (and earning close to $45.35 if all three picks are winners).

  • All bets cover: Win $45.35
  • Seahawks cover, Over cover, Buccaneers do not: Loss (-$10)
  • Over cover, Buccaneers cover, Seahawks do not: Loss (-$10)
  • Seahawks cover, Buccaneers cover, Over do not: Loss (-$10)

Seattle Seahawks Teasers

Like Parlays, Seahawks Teasers combine separate lines but adjust the point spreads to be more in your favor. Like a parlay, you need all your lines to hit in order to win your ticket; however, you can adjust the preset point spread or total lines to lower your risk.

Seahawks Teasers often start at 6 points and can go up to 6.5 and 7 points. The most common Teaser is the two team 6 points that pay the same as a regular -110 wager.

However, placing a Seahawks Teaser comes at a cost. Since teasers move the line so favorably in the direction of your choice, you are minimizing risk but also minimizing payout opportunities. Based on the Seahawks spread +6.5 and Seahawks total Under 44, a 7-point 2-team teaser would be as follows:

Arizona Cardinals (vs. Kansas City Chefs)

  • Original Seahawks spread +6.5 with a 44 Seahawks Over/Under
  • New adjusted like Seahawks spread +13.5 with a new 51 Seahawks Over/Under

The Seahawks odds were originally a +6.5 point underdog against the Broncos with a Total of 44. In a hypothetical case of the Seahawks losing 28-17, the Cardinals odds and Under failed to cover the original spreads but would have covered and won with the 2-team 7-point Teaser; they would cover the new +13 point spread and the 60 points Under.

Seattle Seahawks Prop Bets

It's fun and entertaining to bet on the outcome of Seahawks games, but there are other ways to get involved. Props are one of the most exciting and common ways to do this. A single game or the entire season can serve as the inspiration for a prop.

Seahawk Prop Bets include season-long possibilities like who will have the most rushing yards, the most touchdowns, and who will be named MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, or even Super Bowl MVP.

You can access the available props for a game by clicking on the Live Lines Odds listing. There are lots of different props options to explore and choose from, including:

  • Total Seahawks Passing Yards (Over 200 / Under 200)
  • What will the Seahawks first score be? Touchdown or Field Goal
  • How many sacks will the Seahawks have? 2.5 over / 2.5 under

The Seahawks Props betting odds can vary, and more options may be available as the season progresses. Take the time to keep checking Betphoenix.ag available props selections all year long to find what you want and get more bang for the buck on your winning bets.

These are just a few examples. NFL props can be numerous and even exceed 300 props for the Super Bowl.

Seattle Seahawks Futures Odds

You can obtain better odds and a greater chance of winning while reducing your risk by betting on futures, which allow you to choose winners and recipients of various NFL awards and honors in advance. The best odds on futures are typically found in the offseason before the regular season has even begun. This makes picking a winner for the Super Bowl or Most Valuable Player award before the season has even started all the more exciting.

• Seahawks Odds to Win the NFC West Division: +1200

• Seahawks Odds to Win The NFC: +6600

• Seahawks Odds to Win the Super Bowl: +7500

Seattle Seahawks Odds To Win the NFC West

Seattle is currently listed at +1200 to win the NFC West, making them the biggest longshot to win the division behind the Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Arizona Cardinals. This competitive division had all three of their companions making the playoffs last season. The Seahawks not only missed the playoffs but then proceeded to trade away their nine-time Pro-Bowl Quarterback. These odds will constantly be updated throughout the season.

The Seahawks Odds are +1200 to win the NFC West.

Seattle Seahawks Odds To Win the NFC Championship

The Seahawks are listed as the second worst to win the NFC at +6600, tied with the Carolina Panthers and Detroit Lions, and only ahead of the Atlanta Falcons. Seattle stands out above the crowd as a potential longshot.

The Seahawks Odds are +6600 to win the NFC Championship.

Seattle Seahawks Odds To Win the Super Bowl

Seahawks Super Bowl Odds are the fourth worst for the 2022/23 season, only besting teams like the Falcons, Jaguars, and the Texans. That might make Seattle look a little undervalued, but they have not proven to be a contender yet.

The Seattle Seahawks Odds to Win the Super Bowl are +7500.

Seattle Seahawks 2021-2022 Season Recap

The 2021-2022 season was the Seattle Seahawks' 46th season in the NFL. It was also their 20th season playing home games at Lumen Field and their 12th season with Pete Carroll as their head coach.

With a 7-10 final record for the season, Seattle failed to improve on their 2020-2021 record of 12–4, suffering their first losing season since 2011 and first under coach Russell Wilson. It was their first double-digit losing season since 1996, when they played in the AFC West.

The Seahawk's defense was terrible last season. They gave up 6,445 yards, an average of 379.1 yards per game, which was the most in NFL history for the second year in a row. Russell Wilson missed a game for the first time in his career when he hurt his middle finger against the Rams in Week 5. He missed three games because of the injury.

This was the Seahawks' first season since 2010 without long-time linebacker K. J. Wright, as he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders on September 2.
