This final is an all-English UCL final featuring two teams that made it to this game after amazing comebacks: Liverpool and Tottenham.
First, we have the Red Devils, a team that got their ticket after taking down Spanish giants Barcelona, the once- heavy favorite to win the trophy.
Next, we have the Spurs, who were able to beat Ajax thanks to an impressive performance by Lucas Moura during the second leg of their UCL semifinal match.
Liverpool Team Status
It’s likely that the Red Devils will be featuring Roberto Firmino, who is returning to action after being out for three straight matches.
Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are also ready, but according to team sources, the two are currently lacking match sharpness so that they won’t be seeing any action.
Furthermore, Naby Keita is definitely out due to a muscle tear and won’t return until pre-season.
Tottenham Team Status
Both Harry Winks and Harry Kane are ready to be part of the starting squad at the UCL Final.
Kane, one of the team’s superstars, hasn’t been featured in a Spurs lineup since April 9, when he suffered a ligament injury during the team’s quarter-final match versus Manchester City.
Match Prediction
Oddsmakers believe that this is going to be a closed match, and might even end up in a penalty shootout.
The Red Devils are the favorites likely because of their successful Premier League campaign. Liverpool has also been dominant over the Spurs, winning 13 of their last 14 meetings.
But, do you think the Red Devils can win in their second consecutive UCL Final, or will Tottenham take the trophy out of their hands?
