The 2022-2023 season is the Miami Dolphins' 53rd in the NFL, and their 57th overall, as they joined after the AFL–NFL merger. It's also their seventh under general manager Chris Grier, the first season with new head coach Mike McDaniel. The Dolphins' goals will be to complete a third straight winning season for the first time since 2003, make the playoffs for the first time since 2016 and win the AFC East for the first time since 2008.

The Dolphins enjoy a long history that includes winning two Super Bowls in 1973 and 1974 and five conference titles. Their perfect 1972 season is the only time in NFL history when a team went without losing, all the way to a Super Bowl VII victory.

They play at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, just north of the city. The University of Miami Hurricanes football team also plays at Hard Rock Stadium. The venue also hosts the Orange Bowl, a college football bowl game that is played yearly, and has hosted five Super Bowls (XXIII, XXIX, XXXIII, XLI, and XLIV).

Expectations are rightfully high, as they come from back-to-back winning seasons. The Dolphins organization brought in a new head coach in Mike McDaniel, an experienced offensive coordinator previously of the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Falcons.

They also made one of the most striking moves of the offseason by trading for wide receiver Tyreek Hill out of the Kansas City Chiefs. Also, the signing of Offensive Tack Terron Armstead from the Saints is a massive upgrade to the offensive line. Everyone's eyes will be on quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, who is entering his third season. He has been given all the required offensive weapons in Wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle and Tight end Mike Gesicki. The Dolphins feature an exciting trio of backs on the ground in Raheem Mostert, Chase Edmonds, and Myles Gaskin. Current lines at BetPhoenix Dolphins futures odds for total wins this season are listed at 8.5 in BetPhoanys.ag.

How to Bet on the Miami Dolphins

BetPhoenix.ag offers an exciting and highly lucrative way to follow and get the best Miami Dolphins odds during the NFL season.

Placing your Miami Dolphins bets on BetPhoenix thru the NFL football season can be a profitable and fun endeavor, particularly if you put in some time and research. This guide is just one of many helpful tools BetPhoenix offers to help you maximize your chances of winning when wagering on NFL games, from the preseason through the Super Bowl.

Miami Dolphins Spreads

The point spread indicates the margin of victory or defeat. This is an example of a Miami Dolphins Spreads line:

Team Points Spread Odds

Miami Dolphins -3 -110

New England Patriots +3 -110

The Miami Dolphins are a -3 favorite against the New England Patriots. That makes the Patriots a +3 underdog. A small spread of 5 or fewer points means that the game is expected to be a close matchup, while a large spread of 6+ points means that the favorite is expected to perform much better than the underdog.

When betting on the Miami Dolphins' spreads, in this case, -3, those who wager on the favorite, in this case, the Miami Dolphins, hope they win by a margin of points greater than the point spread. On the other hand, to cash in on the New England Patriots Spread +3 as the underdog, the positive spread team must win, or lose by a margin smaller than the three points of the spread.

· Dolphins win by 4 points or more: Dolphins bettors win

· Dolphins win by precisely 3 points: The bet is a push, and all wagers are refunded

· Dolphins win by 2 or fewer point: Patriots bettors win

· Patriots win the game: Patriots bettors win

Miami Dolphins Moneylines

The Miami Dolphins Moneylines bet is the easiest and simplest bet in sports betting. You pick which side you expect will win the game. Negative odds are for favorites and positive for underdogs. Like the spread, a negative value indicates the choice, and a positive value indicates an underdog. The Dolphins Moneyline for the game of the are listed as follows:

Team Moneyline

Miami Dolphins -165

New England Patriots +140

Moneylines use American odds based on a $100 bet. The amount you win or lose varies depending on the event because the odds are adjusted based on each team's or player's skill. The larger the Moneyline numbers indicate a bigger favorite or more significant underdog in the game. Using this example, the Dolphins Moneyline would result as follows:

· Dolphins Moneyline: If you wagered to win $100 by betting on the Miami Dolphins -165, you would need to risk $165.

· Patriots Moneyline: For every $100 wagered on the Patriots +140, you would receive $140 if New England wins the game.

Miami Dolphins Over/Under Totals

The Miami Dolphins Totals bet is an estimated projected final score based on how we envision the game will unfold from a scoring perspective. Dolphins Totals are expressed in an Over/Under set, in which you pick if you expect this result to be over or under this estimate. The total points take into account both teams' scorings. The Dolphins Over/Under Totals are listed in BetPhoenix as follows:

Miami Dolphins vs. New England Patriots

· Total: 46.5

· Over odds: -110

· Under odds: -110

For every $1.10 risked on either option, you'd win $1.

Miami Dolphins Parlays

Miami Dolphins Parlays is a wager type in which two or more bets are linked together to form a single bet with a higher payout. However, for the bet to win, all selections must win.

Betphoenix will increase your Miami Dolphins Parlays payout as you add more games to your Dolphins parlay because winning becomes less likely as you add more teams. You can combine point spreads, moneylines, over/under, player props, and other wagers. You can choose between favorites and underdogs.

Let's say you believe the Miami Dolphins Spread (-3) and the Dolphins Totals Over (46.5) will cover their spreads. You may add a couple more plays to the Miami Dolphins Parlay, like the Indianapolis Colts (-7.5) over the Houston Texans and the over (45.5) on that game. You can parlay them together on a 4-team Dolphins Parlay, risking $20 for a payout of about 11 times your bet instead of risking $20 to bet on each separately (and earning close to $225 if all four picks are winners).

· Dolphins Spread covers, Dolphins over/under covers, Colts Spread covers, and the Colts over/under covers. All bets cover: Win $245.67

· Dolphins Spread pushes, Dolphins over/under covers, Colts spread covers, and the Colts over/under covers. The push is canceled, and it becomes a 3-team parlay: Win $119.16

· Dolphins Spread covers, Dolphins over/under doesn't cover, Colts Spread covers, and the Colts over/under covers. Loss: -$20

· Dolphins Spread covers, Dolphins over/under covers, Colts Spread doesn't cover, and the Colts over/under covers. Loss: -$20

· Dolphins Spread covers, Dolphins over/under covers, Colts Spread covers, and the Colts over/under doesn't cover. Loss: -$20

Any lost pick within the parlay selection constitutes a loss.

Miami Dolphins Teasers

Like Parlays, Miami Dolphins Teasers combine separate lines but adjust the point spreads to be more in your favor. Like a parlay, you need all your lines to hit in order to win your ticket; however, you can adjust the preset point spread or total lines to lower your risk.

Miami Dolphins Teasers often start at 6 points and can go up to 6.5 and 7 points. The most common Teaser is the two team 6 points that pay the same as a regular -110 wager.

However, placing Miami Dolphins Teasers comes at a cost. Since teasers move the line so favorably in the direction of your choice, you are minimizing risk but also minimizing payout opportunities. Based on the previous example, we can tease the Dolphins spread -3 and Dolphins totals Over 46.5, Colts+3.5 and the Colts Over 46.5 on a 6.5-point 4-team teaser would be as follows:

New England Patriots vs. Miami Dolphins

· Original Dolphins spread -3 with a Dolphins Over/Under 46.5

· New adjusted like Dolphins spread +3.5 with a new over 40 for the Dolphins Over/Under

Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

· Original Colts spread -7.5 with a 45.5 Colts Over/Under

· New adjusted like Colts spread -1 with a new over 39 for the Colts Over/Under

The Dolphins odds were originally a -3 points favorite against the Patriots with a Total of 46.5. In a hypothetical case of the Dolphins winning 24-21 (-3/44), the Dolphins odds and Over failed to cover the original spreads but would have covered and won with the 4-team 6.5-point Teaser; they would cover the new +3.5 point spread and the over 40 points.

Note that on teasers, unlike parlays, a push is a loss.

Miami Dolphins Prop Bets

It's fun and entertaining to bet on the outcome of the Dolphins games, but there are other ways to get involved. NFL Prop bets are one of the most exciting and common ways to do this. A single game or the entire season can serve as the inspiration for a prop.

Miami Dolphins Prop Bets include season-long possibilities like who will have the most rushing yards, the most touchdowns, and who will be named MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, or even Super Bowl MVP.

You can access the available props for a game by clicking on the Live Lines Odds listing. There are lots of different props options to explore and choose from, including:

  1. Dolphins Total Passing Yards in the game. (Over/Under)
  2. The number of 1st dows completed by the Dolphins? (Over/Under)
  3. Will there Dolphins score in the first quarter? (Yes/No)

The Dolphins Prop bets odds can vary, and more options may be available as the season progresses. Take the time to keep checking Betphoenix.ag available props selections all year long to find what you want and get more bang for the buck on your winning bets.

These are just a few examples. NFL props can be numerous and even exceed 300 props for the Super Bowl.

Miami Dolphins Futures Odds

You can obtain better odds and a greater chance of winning while reducing your risk by betting on futures, which allow you to choose winners and recipients of various NFL awards and honors in advance. The best odds on futures are typically found in the offseason before the regular season has even begun. This makes picking a winner for the Super Bowl or Most Valuable Player award before the season has even started all the more exciting.

• Dolphins Odds to Win the AFC East Division: +425

• Dolphins Odds To Win The AFC: +1400

• Dolphins Odds to win the Super Bowl: +3200

Miami Dolphins Odds To Win the AFC East

Based on the Betphoenix Dolphins Futures odds, the Dolphins and Patriots are tied for the second-best odds to win the AFC East. This is a big drop after the heavily favored Bills, but it's much better than the Jets, who have the worst odds. These odds constitute a good value at this point, so it's hard to pass on the Dolphins shot to win the division.

The Dolphins Odds are +450 to win the AFC East.

Miami Dolphins Odds To Win the AFC Championship

The Dolphins are listed at the ninth best odds to win the conference, in the middle tier of the list, that enjoys the company of the Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, and New England Patriots before dropping to the longshots.

Since Chad Pennington led the team to an 11-5 record in 2008, Miami hasn't won the AFC East. You might recall that Dolphins team as the one that introduced the Wildcat offense to the NFL, terrorizing defenses that weren't expecting it. Even though that is not relevant right now, the point is that it's been hard for the Dolphins to win this division over the last 20 years, but now they might have the right tools to make it.

The Dolphins Odds are +1400 to win the AFC Championship.

Miami Dolphins Odds To Win the Super Bowl

The Dolphins are listed in the middle-tier cluster for Super Bowl contenders, sharing that part of the table with the Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, and New England Patriots. The Dolphins Super Bowl Odds have increased sharply by overhauling their offensive line, but it won't be easy for them to get through the AFC East.

The Dolphins Super Bowl Odds are +3200. Check out our current Super Bowl Odds.

Miami Dolphins 2021-2022 Season Recap

The Dolphins finished the 2021-22 season third in the AFC East with a 9-8 record and were only half a game behind Pittsburgh (9-7-1) for the last Wild Card spot in the conference. However, Miami didn't set its sights on the playoffs for most of the year because it got off to a terrible 1-7 start, followed by an impressive 8-1 run to end the season.

The Dolphins went 8-4 with starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and 1-4 without him last season. However, one could argue that Tua's status didn't change the outcome of most of those games, as Miami lost to the Bills, Buccaneers, Colts, and Raiders when he wasn't playing and beat the Panthers, Giants, Saints, and Jets twice when he was.

Last season, Miami's defense was close to being in the top ten in the league. They finished 15th in points allowed and 10th in yardage allowed per play, giving up 21.9 pts per game and 5.3 yards per play, respectively. They also forced 1.5 turnovers per game. However, it's hard to keep up with an offense that ranks 22nd in scoring and 29th in yardage per play, with 20.1 points per game and 4.8 yards per play. Hopefully, All-Pro WR Tyreek Hill.

This season's Miami Dolphins were the embodiment of a roller coaster team. They started the season with a big win against the New England Patriots but then lost their next seven games. From a 1-7 deficit heading into the second half of the season, they won seven straight games and ended up with a 9-8 record. Fans were outraged by Miami's decision to fire head coach Brian Flores despite the team's recent success and narrow miss of the playoffs. Tua Tagovailoa, despite throwing 16 touchdown passes and 10 interceptions this season, has the support of the Dolphins' coaching staff.

Although the season appeared hopeless, Miami turned it around with a seven-game winning streak and a strong playoff push. Jaylen Waddle, a first-year wide receiver, had an outstanding season, amassing 1,015 total yards and snagging six touchdowns. When compared to other first-year players, his 1,015 yards were second-most. Tagovailoa and Waddle have shown to be a productive combination for Miami's offense, and they should be able to carry that over into the upcoming season. The defense, led by Jerome Baker and Xavien Howard, also improved in the second half of the season. Baker had 92 total tackles, which was the most on the team, and Howard had five interceptions ranking in the top five in the NFL.
