The 2022-2023 season is the Indianapolis Colts' 70th in the NFL, their 39th in Indianapolis, their fifth under head coach Frank Reich, and the sixth under general manager Chris Ballard. They are expected to improve on their 9–8 record and return to the playoffs from a one-year absence. They have the challenge to maintain or improve on their 12-5 record from last season and win their conference for the third time back-to-back.

The Colts were founded in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1953, competing in the NFL since their beginning. After purchasing the Ohio League member Dayton Triangles, they are the last NFL founding team. They were one of the three NFL teams that joined the AFL from the NFL during the 1970 merger.

While in Baltimore, the team made it to the playoffs ten times and won three NFL Championship in 1958, 1959, and 1968. The Baltimore Colts also played two Super Bowls, losing to the New York Jets in Super Bowl III and defeating the Dallas Cowboys in Super Bowl V.

The Colts moved to Indianapolis in 1984. Since then, they have made it to the playoffs on sixteen occasions, won two conference titles, and played in two Super Bowls, defeating the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI and losing to the New Orleans Saints for Super Bowl XLIV.

Coincidentally, all four Super Bowls played by the Colts were at the Miami Dolphins' home stadium. Super Bowl III and Super Bowl V at the Orange Bowl, and Super Bowl XLI and Super Bowl XLIV at the now Hard Rock Stadium.

The Lucas Oil Stadium is home field for the Colts since 2008. This multi-purpose retractable roof stadium seats 70,000, and its located in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. It's located one block south of the old RCA Dome that it replaced to complete the expansion of the Indiana Convention Center on its site.

The Colts have featured many great players, like Quarterbacks Peyton Manning, Carson Wentz, Jim Harbaugh, Jacoby Brissett, Philip Rivers, and Andrew Luck; Wide receivers Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison; and Running backs Marshall Faulk, Edgerrin James, and Joseph Addai.

When you think of a Colt, you picture fast and strong horses with plenty of power. This is the spirit you will see in the Indianapolis Colts. In addition, there is much expectation on the Colts' new offense, with former Falcons Quarterback Matt Ryan at the helm, likely better fitted for the Colts' run-heavy scheme.

There is little doubt that the Colts will be a contender for a playoff spot this year. Current lines at BetPhoenix Colts futures odds for total wins this season are listed at 9.5 in BetPhoanys.ag.

How to Bet on the Indianapolis Colts

BetPhoenix.ag offers an exciting and highly lucrative way to follow and get the best Indianapolis Colts odds during the NFL season.

Placing your Indianapolis Colts bets on BetPhoenix thru the NFL football season can be a profitable and fun endeavor, particularly if you put in some time and research. This guide is just one of many helpful tools BetPhoenix offers to help you maximize your chances of winning when wagering on NFL games, from the preseason through the Super Bowl.

Indianapolis Colts Spreads

The points spread indicates the winning or losing margin. This is an example of an Indianapolis Colts Spreads line:

Team Points Spread Odds

Indianapolis Colts -7 -110

Houston Texans +7 -110

Indianapolis Colts are a -7 favorite against the Houston Texans. That makes the Texans a +7 underdog. A small spread of 5 or fewer points means that the game is expected to be a close matchup, while a large spread of 6+ points means that the favorite is expected to perform much better than the underdog.

When betting on the Colts spreads, in this case, -7, those who wager on the favorite, in this case, the Indianapolis Colts, hope they win by a margin of points greater than the point spread. On the other hand, to cash in on the Houston Texans +7 as the underdog, the positive spread team must win, or lose by a margin smaller than the points of the spread.

· Colts win by eight or more points: Colts bettors win

· Colts win by precisely 7 points: The bet is a push, and all wagers are refunded

· Colts win by four points or less: Texans bettors win

· Texans win the game: Texans bettors win

Indianapolis Colts Moneylines

The Colts Moneylines bet is the easiest and simplest bet in sports betting. You pick which side you expect will win the game. Negative odds are for favorites and positive for underdogs. Like the spread, a negative value indicates the choice, and a positive value indicates an underdog.

The Indianapolis Colts Moneyline is listed in BetPhoenix as follows:

Team Moneyline

Indianapolis Colts -350

Houston Texans +275

Moneylines use American odds based on a $100 bet. The amount you win or lose varies depending on the event because the odds are adjusted based on each team's or player's skill. The larger the Moneyline numbers indicate a bigger favorite or more significant underdog in the game. Using this example, the Indianapolis Colts Moneyline would result as follows:

· Colts Moneyline: If you wagered to win $100 by betting on the Colts -350, you would need to risk $350.

· Giants Moneyline: For every $100 wagered on the Giants +275, you would receive $275 if New York wins the game.

Indianapolis Colts Over/Under Totals

The Colts Totals bet is an estimated projected final score based on how we envision the game will unfold from a scoring perspective. Colts Totals are expressed in an Over/Under set, in which you pick if you expect this result to be over or under this estimate. The total points take into account both teams' scorings. The Colts Totals are listed in BetPhoenix as follows:

Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Giants

· Total: 45.5

· Over odds: -110

· Under odds: -110

For every $1.10 risked on either option, you'd win $1.

Indianapolis Colts Parlays

Colts Parlays is a wager type in which two or more bets are linked together to form a single bet with a higher payout. However, for the bet to win, all selections must win.

Betphoenix will increase your Indianapolis Colts Parlays payout as you add more games to your Colts parlay because winning becomes less likely as you add more teams. You can combine point spreads, moneylines, over/under, player props, and other wagers. You can choose between favorites and underdogs.

Let's say you believe the Indianapolis Colts Spread (-7) and the Over (47.5) will cover their spreads. You may add a couple more plays to the Colts parlay, like the Tennessee Titans -5.5 over the New York Giants and the New Orleans Saints -5.5 over the Atlanta Falcons. You can parlay them together on a 4-team Colts Parlay, risking $50 for a payout of about 10x times your bet instead of risking $50 to bet on each separately (and earning close to $560 if all four picks are winners).

· Colts Spread covers, Colts over/under covers, Titans Spread covers, and the Saints Spread covers. All bets cover: Win $614.17

· Colts Spread pushes, Colts over/under covers, Titans spread covers, and the Saints Spread covers. The push is canceled, and it becomes a 3-team parlay: Win $297.9

· Colts Spread covers, Colts over/under doesn't cover, Titans Spread covers, and the Saints Spread covers. Loss: -$50

· Colts Spread covers, Colts over/under covers, Titans spread doesn't cover, and the Saints Spread covers. Loss: -$50

· Colts Spread covers, Colts over/under covers, Titans Spread covers, and the Saints Spread doesn't cover. Loss: -$50

Any lost pick within the parlay selection constitutes a loss.

Indianapolis Colts Teasers

Like Parlays, Indianapolis Colts Teasers combine separate lines but adjust the point spreads to be more in your favor. Like a parlay, you need all your lines to hit to win your ticket; however, you can adjust the preset point spread or total lines to lower your risk.

Colts Teasers often start at 6 points and can go up to 6.5 and 7 points. The most common Teaser is the two team 6 points that pay the same as a regular -110 wager.

However, placing Colts Teasers comes at a cost. Since teasers move the line so favorably in the direction of your choice, you are minimizing risk but also minimizing payout opportunities. Based on the previous example, we can tease the Colts spread -7 and Colts total Over 47.5, the Titans spread -5.5, and the New Orleans Saints spread -5.5 on a 6-point 4-team teaser would be as follows:

Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans

· Original Colts spread -7 with a 47.5 Colts Over/Under

· New adjusted teased Colts spread -1 with a new over 41.5 for the Colts Over/Under

Tennessee Titans vs. New York Giants

· Original Titans spread -5.5

· New adjusted teased Titans spread +0.5

New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons

· Original Saints spread -5.5

· New adjusted teased Saints spread +0.5

The Colts odds were originally a -7 points favorite against the Texans, with a Colts Totals of 44.5. In a hypothetical case of the Colts winning the game 24-20 (-4/44), the Colts odds and Over failed to cover the original spreads but would have covered and won with the 4-team 6-point Teaser; they would cover the new -1 point spread and the over 41.5 points.

Note that on teasers, unlike parlays, a push is a loss.

Indianapolis Colts Prop Bets

It's fun and entertaining to bet on the outcome of Colts games, but there are other ways to get involved. NFL Prop bets are one of the most exciting and common ways to do this. A single game or the entire season can serve as the inspiration for a prop.

Colts Prop Bets include season-long possibilities like who will have the most rushing yards and the most touchdowns and who will be named MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, or even Super Bowl MVP.

You can access the available props for a game by clicking on the Live Lines Odds listing. There are lots of different props options to explore and choose from, including:

1. Colts Defensive sacks in the game. (Over/Under)

2. Will the Colts score a TD in the first quarter? (Yes/No)

3. Will there be an interception returned for a TD in the game? (Yes/No)

The Colts Prop bets odds can vary, and more options may be available as the season progresses. Take the time to keep checking Betphoenix.ag available props selections all year long to find what you want and get more bang for the buck on your winning bets.

These are just a few examples. NFL props can be numerous and even exceed 300 props for the Super Bowl.

Indianapolis Colts Futures Odds

You can obtain better odds and a greater chance of winning while reducing your risk by betting on futures, which allow you to choose winners and recipients of various NFL awards and honors in advance. The best odds on futures are typically found in the offseason before the regular season has even begun. This makes picking a winner for the Super Bowl or Most Valuable Player award before the season has even started all the more exciting.

• Colts Odds to Win the AFC South Division: +105

• Colts Odds To Win the NFC: +1400

• Colts Odds to Win the Super Bowl: +2500

Indianapolis Colts Odds To Win the AFC South

The Colts are listed as favorites to win the AFC South, narrowly over the Tennessee Titans, far ahead of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and long underdogs Houston Texans. This will be a very close race with the Titans, who won the division last year at 12-5, despite losing All-Pro running back Derrick Henry to injury for more than half of the season.

The Colts Odds are +105 to win the AFC South.

Indianapolis Colts Odds To Win the AFC Championship

The Colts are listed to win the AFC at the middle cluster behind the favorites group, which includes the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati BengalsCleveland Browns, and Tennessee Titans. Still, the truth is that they should probably be lower on that list. Their offensive changes are still unproven to consider them a contender.

The Colts Odds are +1500 to win the NFC Championship.

Indianapolis Colts Odds To Win the Super Bowl

The Colts are listed in the middle tier, which means they are a long shot with a little sprinkle of possibility. This group includes other mid-level squads like the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, and Philadelphia Eagles.

The Colts Super Bowl Odds are +3000. Check out our current Super Bowl Odds.

Indianapolis Colts 2021-2022 Season Recap

The 2021-2022 season was the Indianapolis Colts' 69th season in NFL and 38th in Indianapolis. It was their fifth year under general manager Chris Ballard and fourth under head coach Frank Reich.

Despite being a team with seven Pro Bowlers and five AP All-Pros, the Colts failed to improve on their previous 11–5 record after losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 12.

The Colts missed all postseason opportunities in the season's final week after a stunning loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Pittsburgh Steelers beating the Baltimore Ravens the same day. They ended second in the AFC South with a 9-8 record, which fell short of Pittsburgh's final Wild Card spot.

On the bright side, the Colts' ground game was remarkable, and their defense was very solid. Indianapolis' offense ranked 2nd in both rushing yardage, with 149 yards per game and yards per rush attempt with 5.1 yards per carry. However, Wentz was too careless, which led to their demise.
