The eyes of the thoroughbred racing world will be on Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California from the 31st of October to the 1st of November for the 2014 Breeders’ Cup.

The second day of races begins with the $2 million Juvenile Fillies race, featuring fillies that are 2 years old, running on a dirt track that is 11-16 miles long, which starts at 3:04 PM. ET. The favorite in this race is Angela Rene, at 3-1.

The fifth race of the day is the $2 million Sentient Jet Juvenile; the race features 2 year old colts and geldings, which will be running a distance of 11/16 miles on dirt. The race starts at 5:44 PM. ET. The favorite to win the race was American Pharaoh at 2-1, but he was scratched due to injury, and the new favorite is Carpe Diem, at 3-1.

The sixth race of the day is the $3 million Longines Turf, this race features 3 year olds and up, running a distance of 11/2 miles on turf. The race will begin at 6:23 PM. ET. The favorite to win the race is Telescope, at 4-1.

The seventh race of the day is the $1.5 million XPRESSBET Sprint, the race features 3 year olds and up, running a distance of 6 furlongs on dirt. It begins at 7:02 PM. ET. The favorite is Rich Tapestry at 5-1.

The eighth race is the $2 million Mile, it features 3 year olds and up, running a distance of 1 mile on dirt, it begins at 7:40 PM. ET. The favorite to win is Tornado at 5-2.

The ninth and final race is the $5 million Classic, which is the biggest race in the Breeders? Cup, featuring 3 year olds and up, some of which participated in the Triple Crown races earlier this year. The horses will be running a distance of 11/4 miles on dirt, and the race will begin at 8:35 PM. ET. The favorite to win this race is California Chrome, at 4-1, and he will likely be crowned Horse of the Year with a win in the Classic.
