The 2022-2023 season will be the Chicago Bears 103rd in the NFL and their first under head coach Matt Eberflus and general manager Ryan Poles. The Chicago Bears, along with the Arizona Cardinals, are the only two remaining teams from the NFL's 1920 founding.

The Chicago Bears have hosted their home games at Soldier Field since 1971. Opened in 1924 and dedicated to U.S. soldiers fallen in combat during World War I is the oldest stadium in the NFL. The stadium has been upgraded a number of times, with the latest major renovation project executed in 2002, which modernized the facility, lowering its seating capacity to 61,500, making it also the smallest stadium in the NFL. This renovation also caused it to be delisted as a National Historic Landmark in 2006. The privileged location in the beautiful Chicago Park District makes up for its shortcomings. Still, there are talks for the Bears to build a new stadium on the grounds of the Arlington Racetrack property.

The Chicago Bears hold many records accumulated in their long history, most impressively being the team with the most victories of any NFL team in history. The Bears also have the most enshrined players into the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the most retired jersey of any team. The Bears have also won nine NFL Championships, which includes one Super Bowl win in the modern era.

The Chicago Bears will attempt to improve from their 6–11 record from the previous season and hope to come back to the playoffs after a one-year absence. No one is sure what to expect from the Chicago Bears under new head coach Matt Eberflus.

Their roster is mostly stripped of weapons, especially on the offensive line, which has continuously generated less than 20 points per game. How this will affect rising sophomore quarterback Justin Fields and if the new management counts on him as a long-term solution and is willing to build around him are yet to be answered. Their defense has barely kept the ship afloat in the past, ranking 21st in points allowed with 23.9 points per game and 15th in yards allowed last year with 5.3 Yards per play.

They open this regular season receiving the San Francisco 49ers. Current lines have them as pretty hefty underdogs, with BetPhoenix listing the Bears at +7. The Bears Future Odds for Total Season Wins is listed for the season at 6.5.

How to Bet on the Chicago Bears

BetPhoenix.ag offers an exciting and highly lucrative way to follow and get the best Chicago Bears odds during the NFL season.

Placing your Chicago Bears bets on BetPhoenix thru the NFL football season can be a profitable and fun endeavor, particularly if you put in some time and research. This guide is just one of many helpful tools BetPhoenix offers to help you maximize your chances of winning when wagering on NFL games, from the preseason through the Super Bowl.

Chicago Bears Spreads

The points spread indicates the winning or losing margin. This is an example of a Chicago Bears Spreads line:

Team Points Spread Odds

San Francisco 49ers -7 -110

Chicago Bears +7 -110

The San Francisco 49ers are a -7 favorite against the Chicago Bears. That makes the Bears a +7 underdog. A negative value indicates the favorite, and a positive value indicates an underdog. A large spread of 6 or more means that one side is expected to perform better in this matchup.

When betting on the Bears spreads, in this case, +7, those who wager on the underdog, in this case, the Chicago Bears, hope they win, or that they lose by a margin of points smaller than the point spread. If the spread is positive (+7), that team must win, or lose by less than seven points to cover it. On the other hand, to cash in on the 49ers Spread -7 as the favorite, the negative spread team must win by a margin greater than the spread.

  • 49ers win by 7+ points: 49ers bettors win
  • 49ers win by precisely 7 points: The bet is a push, and the wager will be canceled and refunded.
  • 49ers win by 1-6 points: Bears bettors win
  • Bears win the game: Bears bettors win

Chicago Bears Moneylines

The Bears Moneylines bet is the easiest and simplest bet in sports betting. You pick which side you expect will win the game. Negative odds are for favorites and positive for underdogs. Like the spread, a negative value indicates the favorite, and a positive value indicates an underdog. The Chicago Bears Moneyline for the first game of the season is listed in BetPhoenix as follows:

Team Moneyline

San Francisco 49ers -294

Chicago Bears +245

Moneylines use American odds based on a $100 bet. The amount you win or lose varies depending on the event because the odds are adjusted based on each team's or player's skill. The larger the Moneyline numbers indicate a bigger favorite or more significant underdog in the game. Using this example, the Chicago Bears Moneyline would result as follows:

  • 49ers Moneyline: If you wagered to win $100 by betting on the 49ers -294, you would need to risk $294.
  • Bears Moneyline: For every $100 wagered on the Bears +245, you would receive $245 if Chicago wins the game.

Chicago Bears Over/Under Totals

The Bears Totals bet is an estimated projected final score based on how we envision the game will unfold from a scoring perspective. Bears Totals are expressed in an Over/Under set, in which you pick if you expect this result to be over or under this estimate. The total points take into account both teams' scorings. The Bears Over/Under Totals for the first game of the season are listed in BetPhoenix as follows:

San Francisco 49ers vs. Chicago Bears Over/Under

  • Total: 40.5
  • Over odds: -110
  • Under odds: -110

For every $1.10 risked on either option, you'd win $1.

Chicago Bears Parlays

Bears Parlays is a wager type in which two or more bets are linked together to form a single bet with a higher payout. However, for the bet to win, all selections must win.

Betphoenix will increase your Chicago Bears Parlays payout as you add more games to your parlay because winning becomes less likely as you add more teams. You can combine point spreads, moneylines, over/under, player props, and other wagers. You can choose between favorites and underdogs.

Let's say you believe the Chicago Bears Spread (+7) and the Over (40.5) will cover their spreads. You may add a couple more plays to the parlay, like the Kansas City Chiefs -4.5 over the Los Angeles Chargers and the under (54.5) on that game. You can parlay them together on a 4-team Bears Parlay, risking $50 for a payout of about 11 times your bet instead of risking $50 to bet on each separately (and earning close to $560 if all four picks are winners).

  • Bears Spread covers, Bears over covers, Chief cover, and the Chiefs under covers. All bets cover: Win $614.17
  • Bears Spread pushes, Bears over covers, Chief cover, and the Chiefs under covers. The push is canceled, and it becomes a 3-team parlay: Win $297.90
  • Bears Spread doesn't cover, Bears over covers, Chief cover, and the Chiefs under covers: Loss ($-50)
  • Bears Spread covers, Bears over doesn't cover, Chief cover, and the Chiefs under covers: Loss ($-50)
  • Bears Spread covers, Bears over covers, Chief doesn't cover, and the Chiefs under covers: Loss ($-50)
  • Bears Spread covers, Bears over covers, Chief cover, and the Chiefs under doesn't cover: Loss ($-50)

If a wager in a parlay is a push or a game is canceled, that leg will be removed from the parlay. The odds of winning the parlay bet are lower, but you won't lose your wager unless one of the games in the parlay ends in a loss.

Chicago Bears Teasers

Like Parlays, Chicago Bears Teasers combine separate lines but adjust the point spreads to be more in your favor. Like a parlay, you need all your lines to hit in order to win your ticket; however, you can adjust the preset point spread or total lines to lower your risk.

Bears Teasers often start at 6 points and can go up to 6.5 and 7 points. The most common Teaser is the two team 6 points that pay the same as a regular -110 wager.

However, placing a Bears Teaser comes at a cost. Since teasers move the line so favorably in the direction of your choice, you are minimizing risk but also minimizing payout opportunities. Based on the Bears spread +7 and Bears total Over 40.5, a 6-point 2-team teaser would be as follows:

San Francisco 49ers vs. Chicago Bears

  • Original Bears spread +7 with a 40 Bears Over/Under
  • New adjusted like Bears spread +13 with a new 46 Bears Over/Under

The Bears odds were originally a +7 point underdog against the 49ers with a Total of 40.5. In a hypothetical case of the Bears losing 25-17 (+8/42), the Bears odds and Over failed to cover the original spreads but would have covered and won with the 2-team 6-point Teaser; they would cover the new +13 point spread and the Over 46 points.

Chicago Bears Prop Bets.

It's fun and entertaining to bet on the outcome of Bears games, but there are other ways to get involved. NFL Prop bets are one of the most exciting and common ways to do this. A single game or the entire season can serve as the inspiration for a prop.

Bears Prop Bets include season-long possibilities like who will have the most rushing yards, the most touchdowns, and who will be named MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, or even Super Bowl MVP.

You can access the available props for a game by clicking on the Live Lines Odds listing. There are lots of different props options to explore and choose from, including:

  1. Will there be overtime?
  2. Which team gets to 10 points faster?
  3. Which team scores first?

The Bears Props bets odds can vary, and more options may be available as the season progresses. Take the time to keep checking Betphoenix.ag available props selections all year long to find what you want and get more bang for the buck on your winning bets.

These are just a few examples. NFL props can be numerous and even exceed 300 props for the Super Bowl.

Chicago Bears Futures Odds

You can obtain better odds and a greater chance of winning while reducing your risk by betting on futures, which allow you to choose winners and recipients of various NFL awards and honors in advance. The best odds on futures are typically found in the offseason before the regular season has even begun. This makes picking a winner for the Super Bowl or Most Valuable Player award before the season has even started all the more exciting.

Chicago Bears 2021-2022 Season Recap

The 2021-2022 season was the Chicago Bears' 102nd in the NFL and their fourth and final under head coach Matt Nagy.

The Chicago Bears finished 3rd in the NFC North with a record of 6-11, which was a bit of a disappointment after failing to improve on the 8-8 record from the previous year, particularly after starting with a solid 3-2 start by their rookie quarterback Justin Fields. However, their hopes vanished after a five straight losses streak and finishing the season with some improvement on a decent 3-4 in the last stretch.

Their second-year quarterback Justin Fields is the main unresolved question for the Bears. Last year wasn't promising for Chicago's young quarterback, considering that Chicago's offense ranked only 27th in scoring with 18.3 points per game and 24th in total yardage with 307 yards per game. While there is plenty of room for Fields to develop and grow, ideally, you'd like to see much better numbers from a team that claims to have found its new franchise quarterback.

Chicago's defense has barely kept the team afloat the last few seasons, highlighted by the Bears ranking 21st in points allowed with 23.9 points per game and 15th in yards allowed in the previous year with 5.3 yards per play. However, Chicago's mediocre defensive numbers are worthless if its offense continues to generate less than 20 points per game.
