The 2022-2033 season is the New York Jets' 53rd in the NFL, their 63rd overall, as they joined after the AFL–NFL merger. It's also their second under head coach Robert Saleh and fourth under general manager Jsecond under head coach Robert Saleh. The Jets will attempt to break a franchise record drought of eleven seasons without making it to the playoffs.

The Jets have a separate New York fan base from the other NFL team that plays their home games in New Jersey. The Jets are a popular betting team during the football season due to their distinctive fan base.

The second NFL team in the metro New York area was founded in 1960 under the banner of the previous American Football League.

After three AFL seasons as the New York Titans, the team adopted the Jets moniker in 1963.

Before the AFL and NFL officially merged, the Jets, led by Weeb Ewbank, represented the AFL in Super Bowl III in 1968. The New York Jets, led by quarterback Joe Namath, defeated the Baltimore Colts 16-7 in one of the biggest upsets in football history.

Since the historic triumph, the Jets' longest postseason run, under head coach Walt Michaels' direction, was to the AFC Championship Game in 1982. Bill Parcells guided the Jets back to the conference championship in 1998.

The New England Patriots are the Jets' biggest rival, both AFC East members. The Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills could also be included on that list. The New York Giants of the NFC East get to play the Jets once every four years for the city title.

It's common to wager on the Jets point spread as underdogs. If the Jets are listed as seven-point underdogs, they would need to win the game or lose by 6 points or less for a bet to be a winner.

Since the Jets began playing their home games in the Garden State in 2018, betting on the team has gained popularity in New Jersey.

In-state Jets fans have increased their attractiveness due to New York becoming the first state to legalize mobile sports betting in January 2022.

We have the most recent New York Jets odds at Betphoenix.ag to help you with your betting experience! The best value bets can only be made with the best resources, which is why we consistently provide the biggest bonuses and best Jets odds.

How to Bet on the New York Jets

BetPhoenix offers an exciting and highly lucrative way to follow the New York Jets during the NFL season.

The NFL is one of the most-bet sports today. Every week, people all around the world try to beat the betting lines in the Football markets by reviewing the matches, trends, and statistics that go into making a prediction for the games that take place every Sunday, Monday, and Thursday.

This guide is just one of the many helpful resources BetPhoenix provides to help you increase your chances of winning when betting on NFL games, from the preseason to the Super Bowl.

New York Jets Spreads

The points spread indicates the winning or losing margin. This is an example of a New York Jets Spreads line:

Team Points Spread Odds

Baltimore Ravens -7.5 -110

New York Jets +7.5 -110

The Baltimore Ravens are a -7.5 favorite against the New York Jets. That makes the Jets a +7.5 underdog. A small spread of 5 or fewer points means that the game is expected to be a close matchup, while a large spread of 6+ points means that the favorite is expected to perform much better than the underdog.

When betting on the New York Jets Spreads, in this case, +7.5, those who wager on the underdog, in this case, the Jets, hope they win, or lose by a margin of points smaller than the point spread. On the other hand, to cash in on the Baltimore Ravens Spread -7.5 as the favorite, the negative spread team must win by a margin greater than the spread points.

· Ravens win by 8 points or more: Ravens bettors win

· Ravens win by seven or fewer points: Jets bettors win

· Jets win the game: Jets bettors win

New York Jets Moneylines

The New York Jets Moneylines bet is the easiest and simplest bet in sports betting. You pick which side you expect will win the game. Negative odds are for favorites and positive for underdogs. Like the spread, a negative value indicates the choice, and a positive value indicates an underdog. The New York Jets Moneyline is listed in BetPhoenix as follows:

Team Moneyline

Baltimore Ravens -310

New York Jets +250

Moneylines use American odds based on a $100 bet. The amount you win or lose varies depending on the event because the odds are adjusted based on each team's or player's skill. The larger the Jets Moneyline numbers indicate a bigger favorite or more significant underdog in the game. Using this example, the Jets Moneyline would result as follows:

  • Ravens Moneyline: If you wanted to win $1 by betting on the Ravens (-310) on the Moneyline, you would need to risk $3.10.
  • Jets Moneyline: For every $1 wagered, you would receive $2.50 if you bet on the Jets (+250) to win the game.

New York Jets Over/Under Totals

The New York Jets Totals bet is an estimated projected final score based on how we envision the game will unfold from a scoring perspective. Jets Totals are expressed in an Over/Under set, in which you pick if you expect this result to be over or under this estimate. The total points take into account both teams' scorings. The Jets Over/Under Totals for the game are listed in BetPhoenix as follows:

Baltimore Ravens vs. New York Jets

  • Total: 44
  • Over odds: -115
  • Under odds: -105

Similarly to the moneyline example above, betting the over is more pricey than the under because the public and oddsmakers have determined that the game will likely go over 44 points.

For every $1.15 risked, you'd win $1. For every $1.05 risked on the under, you'd win $1.

New York Jets Parlays

Jets parlay is a wager type in which two or more bets are linked together to form a single bet with a higher payout. However, in order for the bet to win, all of the selections must win.

Betphoenix will increase your Jets Parlays payout as you add more games to your Jets parlay because winning becomes less likely as you add more teams. You can combine point spreads, moneylines, over/under, player props, and other wagers. You can choose between favorites and underdogs.

Let's say you believe that the Jets (+7.5) and the Jets Totals Over 44 will cover their spreads. You can parlay them together in a Jets parlay and risk $10 for a payout of about 2.65 times your bet rather than risking $10 to bet on each of them separately (and earning close to $19 if they both cover ).

The following outcomes are possible for that $10 Jets parlay wager:

  • Both bets cover: Win $25.69
  • Jets cover, Jets Over/Under do not: Loss (-$10)
  • Over cover, Jets Over/Under does not: Loss (-$10)
  • Both do not cover: Loss ($-10)

Note: All bets must win or push for the parlay bet to win. If any options lose, your bet loses, no matter how the other games turn out or if they are canceled.

New York Jets Teasers

Like Parlays, Jets Teasers combine separate lines but adjust the point spreads to be more in your favor. Like a parlay, you need all your lines to hit in order to win your ticket; however, you can adjust the preset point spread or total lines from sportsbooks to lower your risk level.

Jets Teasers often start at 6 points and can go to 6.5 and 7 points. The most common Teaser is the two team 6 points that pay the same as a regular -110 wager.

However, Jets Teasers come at a cost. Since teasers move the line so favorably in the direction of your choice, you are minimizing risk but also minimizing payout opportunities.

Let's use this example from the Week 1 of the 2022 NFL season.

Example 1: Jets (vs. Ravens)

  • Original Jets Spread +7.5
  • New Jets Spread +13.5

The Jets Spread was originally a +7.5 point underdog against the Ravens and lost 20-10, covering your new +13.5 point spread.

The Jets totals failed to cover the original point spread but would have covered in the Teaser.

New York Jet Prop Bets

It's fun to bet on the outcome of Jets games, but there are other ways to get involved. NFL Prop bets are one of the most exciting and common ways to do this. A single game or the entire season can serve as the inspiration for a prop.

The Jets Prop Bets include season-long possibilities like who will have the most rushing yards, the most touchdowns, and who will be named MVP, Offensive Player of the Year, or even Super Bowl MVP.

You can access the available props for a game by clicking on the Live Lines Odds listing. There are lots of different props options to explore and choose from, including:

  1. Which player will score the game's first TD?
  2. Which player will have the most rushing yards in the game: Breece Hall or Michael Carter?
  3. Will there be a special team's score in the game: Yes/No?

The Jets Prop bets odds can vary, and more options may be available as the season progresses. Take the time to keep checking Betphoenix.ag available props selections all year long to find what you want and get more bang for the buck on your winning bets.

These are just a few examples. NFL props can be numerous and even exceed 300 props for the Super Bowl.

New York Jets Futures Odds

You can obtain better odds and a greater chance of winning while reducing your risk by betting on futures, which allow you to choose winners and recipients of various NFL awards and honors in advance. The best odds on futures are typically found in the offseason before the regular season has even begun. This makes picking a winner for the Super Bowl or Most Valuable Player award before the season has even begun all the more exciting.

Some examples of popular Jets futures bets include:

New York Jets 2021-2022 Season Recap

Last season, the Jets finished dead last in the AFC East with a 4-13 record, tied with the other New York team, the Giants, 4-13 for the league's third-worst record. Only the Lions, 3-13-1, and Jaguars fell behind them in the final standings, 3-14.

The Jets lacked offensive consistency, as evidenced by the fact of averaging 18.2 points per game that, combined with a defense that was last in both scoring and total yards, was yelling a recipe for disaster. The Jets did display flashes of brilliance during QB Zach Wilson's rookie campaign, as New York pulled off difficult upset victories over the Titans (W, 27-24 OT) and Bengals (W, 34-31) early (29.6 PPG, 398 YPG).

The Jets' 2021 campaign was ultimately disappointing, but they may have found their offensive mojo down the stretch, as New York finished the year by scoring 24+ PTS in three of their final four games. However, as usual, their bottom-ranked defense let them down in three of those games (1-3), making it difficult to put much faith in them going into this season.
